United States George Floyd Protests, Reactions and Riots

I wonder if the MK 19 mod 3 fully automatic grenade launcher can fire tear gas rounds. It would be a very quick way to end a riot.
If it I'd 40mm and takes the same as hand held launchers it should. It would be over because it would be a wall of gas...

I didn't say it would be the safest way to end a riot now did I? Also if I was a rioter a I saw what looked like a machine gu(since most people couldn't tell the difference )pointed in my general direction I'd be inclined to pull a Brave Sir Robin

They would probably shout and scream but not do anything. Because having Soldiers there is intimidating

How many bets the rare mint condition items will go on eBay or the black market for interested collectors?

I feel bad for ATL PD. Understaffed as is. If this spreads towards the Cobb county parts of the state it will be war.

It's going to get worse.

Bold strategy cotton, taking on the secret service.

If they try to attack the white house it will be a massacre...Like..the Guard and aactive units in DC will be sent to support the protection of the president...and the secret service will gun down any that try to attack the white house
Right, it may still be manslaughter, but once again we must wait and see and let the jury decide such things; not an angry mob or the media liars inciting them.
The only charge they will get is manslaughter...anything more will be dropped

I really hope that my college's main campus( I go to Georgia State University for those of you who are interested)stays intact through this madness since I rather like my university unburnt and not looted thank you very much. It's not all too far from the where the crazies decided destroying part of Atlanta in the middle of the worst economic and health crises since 1929 and 1918/1919 respectively was a good idea. Thank goodness that Summer semester hasn't started and I commute to class and that I'm taking the summer off.

By the way what do you think the odds of Georgia's national guard being called in are? I give it a 70% chance of occurring if this doesn't stop soon

I'm glad I'm out in the country and my whole office is remote to work. I'm an hours walk out of town, on a highway and down a long driveway. About as safe as you can get from riots without living in Alaska.

Ok, so what's supposed to be the point of all the protests outside Minnesota? I could buy doing it a really or something as a show of support, but these other protests are crossing that line into blocking highways and similarly disruptive actions, but the people they're protesting against have no culpability or authority in this case, and at least of these cities have a reputation for having very good cops, sp or doesn't seem like this incident is inspiring protests against departments with similar issues to the Minneapolis PD.

It feels good to loot and destroy?

SOLIDARITY!

SOLIDARITY!

I'm not sure that's it, because this didn't happen after Ferguson or that case in Texas where officer whatsherface went into the wrong apartment and shot the guy who lived there. Usually protests like these are localized.

Oh for sure. GNG will mobilize for this

Hmmm looking at where the guard armories are it will take about two hours from the word go to get a company gathered, organized, equipped, and then deployed to the site with the rest of their battalion being about an hour behind and another battalion a hour or two behind them

There is a Cav unit 45 to an hour north. You are about right.
