One update on the Jefferson debacle and one big claim by the Bolsonaro campaign.
Jefferson surrendered to the police and was taken into custody. He is being accused of 4 homicide attempts (against the 4 agents sent to get him) which is understandable. What isn't however, and has drawn a even bigger ire and legal shitshow is the fact that when his lawyer showed up to the police station he is being held he was not allowed to talk to Jefferson!
The right to legal counsel is cemented in the Brazilian constitution and this is a pretty blatant violation. The OAB (Brazilian Order of Lawyers, a national Lawyers Guild) has published a pretty strong condemnation of that. They have been anti-Bolsonaro in the past but getting their hands on the Lawyer-Client relation and rights has obviously pissed them off cause how the fuck do you do your job and make money as a lawyer if you can't speak to your client?
Second item: today, at 7:30 PM, Bolsonaro's campaign has published information that shows Lula had over 130 thousand more propaganda spots than him in the Northeast. A blatant violation of election propaganda laws. We will see what excuses the TSE draws up.
