Arrests made regarding a "secret Chinese police station" that operated within New York City's Chinatown and was closed in the Fall of last year after the Chinese agents realized they were being investigated.

Al Jazeera said:
Breon Peace, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said the men had engaged in "transnational repression targeting members of the Chinese diaspora community in New York City and elsewhere in the United States" at the behest of Beijing.

Both were charged with conspiring to act as an agent of China's government without informing US authorities, as well as obstruction of justice.

The second charge relates to the men admitting that they deleted correspondences with an official from China's Ministry of Public Security once they discovered they were being investigated, authorities said.

The secret police station "at the very least" provided Chinese citizens with basic Chinese government services, Peace said, adding that this in itself would run afoul of US law without prior approval.

"On at least one occasion, an official with the Chinese national police directed one of the defendants, a US citizen who worked at the secret police station, to help locate a pro-democracy activist of Chinese descent living in California," Peace said.

It's believed that China operates secret police stations around the world which are dedicated to not just illegally and scrumptiously providing Chinese government services abroad without the host countries knowledge as the defendants in these cases have argued, but also to track and intimidate dissidents through social media and other means as well as coerce them to return to mainland China for prosecution for various crimes.

US federal authorities have also announced criminal complaints against over forty other individuals, mostly officers in China's National Police forces. One particular group, the 912 Special Project Working Group, apparently tracks and targets dissidents around the world through the creation of fake online personas in various social media platforms to engage in harassment, intimidation and coercion campaigns, oftentimes even against foreign citizens.

Similar cases have allegedly taken place in Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and other countries.

The one in Manila got shut down. Some agents resisted arrest when the Federal Police started rounding them up in their cover identities. Those who fought back and got shot the CCP claimed were Tong criminals and not agents

Just a funny.

Literally a distillation of all of the Asian Frugality Stereotypes. You know these geezers got cases of toilet paper at home.

Err. Didn't this poster have a government agent label a few weeks ago? Why would I ever listen to anything any agent of the CCP says? The video is accurate though. Just like in all communist countries people will don't care. They'll litter, piss on the streets, let things break, fuck over everyone else as long as it doesn't affect them personally.

Oh no Jennifer Zeng left China because she committed the horrifying crime of practicing Fulan Gong two decades ago. Now she's a Human Rights activist and posts about how wonky the Peoples Republic of West Taiwan is.
