Ah. Well the one I was watching went for $1350. Incidentally I guess I won that Remington P-14. Interesting part is going to be having to get up early to go get it, as it's only available for pick-up on Mon-Wed, and it's a 3 hour drive away.

IMO getting 10+1 in a microcompact 9mm is also pretty good. Although the Hellcat does the same thing.

That Remington P14 is in excellent shape. The only thing wrong with it is that the previous owner removed the adjustable portions of the volley sights. Now I need to find a useful guide on how to replace those. :(

So... Has anyone noticed any patterns with ammunition availability? I thought it was starting to come back in stock, just a little, but that seems to be true only for online retailers.
Not surprised, they probably get a small volume discount and priority over most big box brick and mortar retailers, because they have greater demand.

all I know is that even the reloader community has gotten pinched by this.
I paid $37/box of 50 of .357mag reloads.
Hated doing it, but had zero in that caliber for the new gun.
I also wanted .38spl, but haven't been able to find any at all.
I'm told the shortage wasn't bullets or brass or even powder: it was primers.

Primary explosive are hard. Especially in a safety conscious age.

Yeah. As it turns out, primers are really hard to manufacture, and the ones that were on the market for reloaders were excess production from the two companies in the US that manufacture them.

8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm Mauser) is almost impossible to find on the market, according to my friend in the States.

And it used to be one of the most common rounds in the world.

He recently bought some Yugo surplus 8mm Mauser, and that stuff was almost gone by the time he got there.

Where, exactly, was he looking? SGAmmo had a bunch the last time I looked.

Damn, I'm glad I got that case from Ventura last year now. Was kinda sorta thinking of buying another one for giggles and grins but they were out.

... and pass the ammunition.

just another Vice smear job/propaganda on anyone that isn't MORE progressive than themselves.

is it weird that they incorporated AR-15s into worship? yes, but at least they're being extremely careful, as evidenced by the lack of magazines and bright orange zip ties locking the bolt open.

bear in mind, there are fringe Baptists in the Appalachian Mtns. that worship with rattlesnakes & they've had members die from getting bit.
