Biden Won’t Extend Student Loan Relief And Confirms Student Loan Payments Restart February 1
Your student loans are due very soon.www.forbes.com
Thanks for the vote but you still need to pay your debt.
Student Debt Thieves have always disgusted me. You knew exactly what you were doing, you knew it was going to take years, and you knew that you had agreed to pay people back for the cost of your education. If you didn't want to pay for it you should have applied for more scholarships, as is you can pay your debts like a God Damned adult.
My thoughts exactlyWhile I don't disagree I do think college is stupidly overpriced and full of pointless filler, For example why does an engineer need to take fine arts classes and other pointless crap of that nature? Basically if you cut out all the bullshit and got to the point you could churn out engineers in about two years rather than four.

You're both correct. I say this as someone who still has like 15 years left on loan payments. While I don't disagree I do think college is stupidly overpriced and full of pointless filler, For example why does an engineer need to take fine arts classes and other pointless crap of that nature? I didn't know what I was doing. I went in expecting to be able to get a job after I graduated; that never happened. Also, there aren't as many scholarships available as you might think; or at least, there weren't when I went looking. Especially when you're a straight while male; and the ones that were available required significant effort just to be entered into what was essentially a lottery, with a payout of maybe a couple hundred bucks at best. I quickly realized that I could waste my time chasing a pittance that I'd probably never get, or I could pass my classes; I couldn't do both.Student Debt Thieves have always disgusted me. Sociology and Psychology at least try to pretend they're of worth. A fitness or physiology class I can buy as being something, lord knows how classical education insisted on physical as well as mental fitness. The propaganda classes can all burn.I went for computer networking, and didn't even take a computer class until my second year. But sociology, psychology, anatomy and physiology, fitness and wellness, "the black experience," "diversity in American society," those classes? Couldn't graduate without them, and they cost me $1000-$4000 each. Fucking bullshit.

Most of us stopped caringThe problem of debt and tuition hikes will increase, until people stop being willing to sign up for them.
Us Millenials were lied to about what college was and what it would do for us. But we still signed up for it, and we need to take responsibility for what we have done as adults.
The Zoomers have no excuse for being ignorant of such things.
Got a source?Good Morning Sietch family. Any thoughts on the Biden administration cutting hospital funding in Red States ?
Assuming this is true, what's that suppossed to accomblish beyond letting conservative voters die and giving the Republicans yet another reason to hate the Left?Good Morning Sietch family. Any thoughts on the Biden administration cutting hospital funding in Red States ?
A classical education is actually a great thing. Unfortunately, the education system, pre-college and college/university haven't really been teaching a true classical education for decades. It's turned into an indoctrination system by the will of the Fed's Education Bureau. That's due to them still holding on to the remnants of the concept of a Classical Education, meant to try to make you into a man who Thinks instead of just reacts.
That's being harsh to the GenXers and Boomers who advised the Millennials.Us Millenials were lied to about what college was and what it would do for us. But we still signed up for it, and we need to take responsibility for what we have done as adults.
Which is all exactly why history will not be kind to the Boomers, once they are no longer writing history. That's being harsh to the GenXers and Boomers who advised the Millennials.
For Boomers and GenXers, the route they told Millennials to go, High School > College > Career, was a well beaten path that had worked very well for both those generations. For Boomers, who were the parents of most Millennials, this was especially true, and further many Boomers had experienced situations like my father, who had decades of experience in the Satellite Telecom Industry, but was never allowed to become a senior manager or executive despite having the skills and knowledge to do so simply because he lacked a piece of paper saying he had a Bachelor's Degree, something, it should be noted, was not the case when he ENTERED that industry.
This all mean that for many of those people they were giving the best advise based on their prior experience that they could. How could they have known that the combination of easy credit and Pell Grants that exploded in the 1980s (well after Boomers had cycled through colleges) along with the expansion of "X Studies" programs (that again, was a thing that had only begun in the 1980s and 90s) would end up cheapening the value of a college degree while also exploding the cost of one? The majority of people advising the Millennials were not economists or those with experience forecasting markets, but just average folks with experience in their own professional fields that rarely intersected with academia.
If there is anyone to blame, it's the institutions and government for creating the environment, but those who were genuinely trying to help by giving what they thought was sound advise? They weren't lying and should generally be treated with at least a degree of compassion.
Sorry, but this is absurd. Removing the general education requirements would not allow for an engineering degree is two years. You need nearly two years just for the various math courses, to say nothing of the actual engineering classes. Engineering degrees have very little padding as it is.While I don't disagree I do think college is stupidly overpriced and full of pointless filler, For example why does an engineer need to take fine arts classes and other pointless crap of that nature?
