No, it was the good infrastructure bill. A bunch of internet idiots just think it was the bad one because democrat fake news is trying to play this off as a win.

In reality however it's passing is a tactical win for the Republicans because the far left Democrats wanted to bind it to the piece of crap that was the "Social Infrastructure" bill. So passing the bill widened the split between the center Democrats and the far left Democrats.
Are you serious?

The bill, from what I've seen, is a complete loss for the GOP and America in general, and just because the likes of AOC and co didn't get everything they wanted, does not in anyway make this bill's passage any less of catastrophe for the Right and for America.

I have seen literally nothing in or about the current bill that looks at all good for the Right, and pardon me if I do not trust your interpretation of these events due to your position on the Wu Flu shit and the stolen election.

Edit: Rep Biggs pointing out the obvious:

You've been reading the wrong bill, this is the good one.

A couple highlights include Highway Repair, Buy America Sourcing Requirements, and Make It in America.

That's the text of the bill that just passed...

The one that didn't, isn't really relevant to this conversation outside of the mention that it's horrible and probably going to be caught up in democratic infighting till the 2022 elections.
I meant where in the process is it?
People seem to think it is the evil one, and more armt correcting them

Well let's see, just looking at some headings:

-Highway Use Tax Evasion Project...this is where they are trying to slip in the milage tax I expect.

-Vunerable road user research...looks like an excuse to shove CRT into the transportation system

-Interstate Weight Limits...use this to throttle production and distribution of good via reducing how much trucks can carry.

-Over-the-road bus tolling equity...another attempt to slip CRT into the transportation system I expect

-National motor vehicle per-mile user fee pilot...this is the milage tax bullshit I warned about.

-Promoting Women in Trucking Workforce...another 'gender studies' bullshit program, though I guess we'll probably need more truckers soon so maybe a wash.

-Global Harmonization...that sounds like trying to force the traffic/transportation laws/requirments of other nations onto the American driver.

-Termination of employee retention credits for Employees subject to closure due to Covid-19...kicking small businesses while they are down.

-Strategic Petroleum Reserve drawdown and sale...they are axing the strategic petroleum reserve, fucking idiots.

This bill should never have passed with those provisions in it, and anyone who thinks this is a win for the GOP, the Right, or America is a fucking fool.

You know there are already interstate weight limits right?

I know there are weigh stations for tax purposes, and bridge limits, but not overarching weight limits.

And you are completely ignoring the other bad shit in there, like the military's petro reserve going bye-bye. Or the per-mile fee pilot, which is a great way to kill freedom of movement.

Military won't be happy, and that is going to backfire

The people who will suffer the most from that per mile tax are low income people in rural areas who must drive 20-30 miles or more to get to their jobs, as well as smaller shipping companies. The bigger ones will just up their prices after the competition dies out.
Here is hoping it gets struck down as the illegal shitstain tinpot hoopla of a policy it is.

I dont think the realize how difficult this is going to be to track, and will probably be negated by the time they get anywhere close to fully up and running.

You don't even know what those provisions actually are... You're just making incorrect assumptions based on the names...

Highway Use Tax Evasion Projects is literally just updating the date in a legal code from 2016-2020 to 2022-2026...

Vulnerable road user research is just a general road safety provision...

Interstate Weight Limits is just a minor update to officially add a couple roads in North Carolina and Oklahoma to the interstate system.

Over-the-road bus tolling equity is again just a minor wording change that amounts to changing "public transportation buses" to "public transportation vehicles".

Promoting Women in Trucking Workforce is just putting a research group together to find out why Women aren't entering the industry and try to figure out a way to increase it.

Global Harmonization is setting a standard definition for Adaptive driving beam headlamps.

Termination of employee retention credits is literally just a minor wording update to the already existing termination date.

And the Strategic Petroleum Reserve draw down and sale... Is actually that, but it's okay because the reserve is significantly over what it needs to be...

It's a volunteer pilot program to study the feasibility... Not a tax...
