The US is looking weak right now. North Korea ghosted them, China and Russia mocks them.

There's a reason why the crimea was lost under Obama's nose.
Well yes; with that reason being that we backed a violent coup in Ukraine, and the people of the Crimean peninsula preferred becoming Russian again to subjecting themselves to an illegitimate dictatorial regime.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

That it failed is even more reason to look weak.

The coup could still be considered a technical success; it just completely destabilized the county, and put us in a worse position. We're now stuck supporting a violent dictatorial regime that barely even controls half of the county it's supposedly in charge of, and the Russians still have a buffer zone between them and NATO (the removal of which was the entire point to replacing the legitimate pro-Russia government of Ukraine with a pro-NATO one); namely the Donbass region.

This is why regime change is always a bad idea; it's never ended well for us whenever we've tried it.

Not the first and it won't be the last.

I actually really wished she'd run for President. I bet it would really stick in the regressive left's craw that the first woman President was her. :giggle:

She hasn't displayed enough long-haul consistency and depth for me to be willing to vote for her, yet. Maybe in another four or eight years she will have, she certainly seems to have developed from where she once was.

With all due respect - Ms Owens is not fit for POTUS. She knows fuck all about governance. Never managed a company, never held a meaningful Office.
Plus there is the question of consistency @LordsFire mentioned. Ms Owens simply is too young and inexperienced.
Give her at least ten years? When she's into her 2nd term as US Senatrix? A Governess of a largeish State? With a record of political actions and positions?

BTW - in Europe the loosely understood "right" has a much better record of coming up with lady leaders than the "left".

Yeah she fell apart when Joe Rogan was questioning her and Joe rubs a good podcast but is nice, is no genius. Is not an attack dog. And she crumpled when faced with some minor questioning.

In general, I like her. The woman makes some good political jabs and I am curious about her show on daily wire, but she is not ready to be president yet.

I always have to disagree when someone says we need some old fart with "experience" experience in what? Corruption? Joe Biden is very experienced how's that working? Political leaders don't need some sort of degree or in depth knowledge, they need smarts for sure, but they just need to direct policy and then delegate to trusted competent underlings, who actually enforce and apply it. I mean tell me most politicians have a law degree what about being a lawyer makes one good at running a nation? Trump owns a bussiness, running a bussiness is completely diffrent from a nation. We don't need experience, we need people who are willing to do shit, but aren't either corrupt hacks that bow to the swamp, or incompetents that are tricked by them.

I don't know, I think Spartan could probably handle it, given his military and EMT background.

What we need is someone who knows what they're getting into, and isn't afraid of upsetting the apple cart. Someone who not only understands that the system needs to be torn down to its foundations, and rebuilt from the ground up; but is also charismatic, smart, fearless, and ruthless. What we need is a benevolent dictator in the making; but one that will surrender all that power after they've fixed the mess our government has become, instead of passing it on to some lesser successor.
