Suddenly?
Not all that terribly long ago you have Hillary "pushing the reset button" with Russia and trying to be friends with them. You also had Obama laughing at IIRC Romney for saying Russia was one of the greatest threats to the US in answer to some debate question back then. The earliest I can remember the saber-rattling against Russia was in the 2016 campaign trail.

Yeah that's why I said "suddenly?" I just watched them go at Russia for like 5 years.

It was a sudden change, though, was it not? Seemed like to me.
Do you remember the violent coup our government backed in Ukraine, and how Russia backed oppositionary rebels in the Donbass region and annexed Crimea in response? That's when all the anti-Russia rhetoric started being tossed around, so it had already been going on for few years before the 2016 election.

Its amazing how silent all the people are, who were ranting and raving about the kids in cages (that Obama built) while Trump was in office.

Now that Biden has 3x as many kids in cages
.. crickets

Not really. The press has been carrying water for a while, even before Trump. The problem for them is, while Trump was a bit obnoxious about it, his point of “we have to control immigration” was and is actually quite popular with the public. And they don’t dare let it slip that Biden is actually more incompetent than Trump lest people get the idea of voting Republican in 2022 and 2024.
