United States Biden administration policies and actions - megathread

What he said is a bit more complicated than the headline for the article portrays it as being, but it's still pretty bad. He's basically admitting he's trying to bend over backwards to accommodate the CCP, and only feels constrained by the fact that the American people might try to oust him from power for doing so. Then he goes on to state that his America will always be there to wag its finger disapprovingly at what China is doing, but implies it will never do more than that.

Seriously; this is the sort of weaselly political speech some people think was lacking in Trump's presidency? It's like they want to be conned into thinking everything is okay, even if that's clearly not true.

The military will still have a hatred and watchful glareful eye at China and do our best to be ready to fight them. (Again. 2030 I see a war with them)

Considering that the U.S. didn't even wag its finger at the Cambodian genocide, levied aggressive trade sanctions against Vietnam for *stopping* the Cambodian genocide, quietly worked with Communist China to try to *keep* the genocidal Khmer Rouge government in power, and ultimately blocked peace negotiations for decades because they were "unfairly" excluding the Khmer Rouge . . .

. . . that's almost an improvement.

Oh you forgot that we kept the rightful Cambodian government out of the UN for over a decade as well. Yeah I still think the US State Department was bitter about us losing the Vietnam War in said time period

I kinda count that as part and parcel of "trying to keep the genocidal Khmer Rouge government in power"; we continued to insist that the Khmer Rouge were the rightful government-in-exile.

Im honestly surprised your bashing a comunist country expecially one thats a poster boy for everything that wrong with communism and communists, that's an improvement who knows we might just make a propper capitalist out of you yet.

I would point out here that it was *also communist* Vietnam who stepped in and put an end to the genocide.

Well in that case, good luck trying to resist the efforts of Biden and the rest of the establishment to undermine your ability to do so; sadly, you're probably going to need it.
The military is basically independent in watching our enemies. The president and Congress can act independently in what the military focuses on. We just have been preparing for China since Obama.

They'll support him anyways.

Sure they might get mad and yell about it. But when he's running against a republican, they'll vote for him anyways.

Though I doubt he will still be alive (or running if he is) in 2024
I honestly doubt it. This was something a lot of the progressive Millenials and Older GEN Z wanted. Badly, and unless Burnie runs again, or someone like him, I doubt they will vote Dem.
