As for this clip, that's true. I'm sure China is looking at the dyslexic and fractured response of the West in regards to Ukraine and seeing how it can be viewed in regards to Taiwan which is even more important to the global economy. And keeping in mind there is a significant amount of people in America, Tucker Carlson included IIRC, who don't want to get involved with the defense of Taiwan either.

That is an argument of exquisite historical irony, as Taiwan (and South Korea too) were considerably less democratic than Ukraine is for decades, while USA supported them, even fought a major war directly for the latter.
If USA took that argument seriously in the 1950's, there would have been no South Korea now, and tens of millions of people more would be forced to live under the Kim dynasty with all the misery it inflicts on its serfs. Let that sink in.
Taiwan would have probably been communist too as USA would not support it, Chiang Kai-Shek's actual one party state absolutely could not have been supported by that logic.
