Regarding ukrainian losses - what kgbstan is doing is old soviet tradition.
When in 1941 germans captured islands near Estonia,one soviet battery repelled first german attack,killing maybe 20 germans who used gliders,and scaring german 'fleet" of fish boats with desant.

Result? they told about more then 500 german dead,4 ships sunked/there was ont even one there/,20 fish boats/ not even one was hit/ ,and massacring paras.When not even one was dropped there.

Even better was 10 soviet sailors defending Sewastopol - they destroyed 20 german tanks by throwing under them with explosives,when germans do not have even one tank there at that time.

Given that anthropologists have made some pretty convincing arguments that most of our development of what we like to call intelligence was driven by an 'arms race' between pre-homo sapiens manipulators and pre-homo sapiens manipulees, I'm willing to lay good money that propaganda, bluffing, bragging, bald-faced lies, and good old-fashioned bullshit pre-date modern man as a species.

They're helping with munitions, weapons, and aid. AFAIK, there's been zip about helping Ukraine restore their cultural monuments and historical sites.

Given Italy's new government is being the subject of a media smear campaign at the moment (basically boiling down to "how dare they not be liberal Leftists!"), this is a massive PR brownie point boost for them.
