Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

Since posting this, the first defensive line in front of Kharkov has been pierced and the AFU General Staff has openly admitted there was not any Kherson offensive. Recent reporting shows their units have been shattered in attrition warfare around the city and the Russians have cleared the path by piercing much of their "trip wire" defensive line. Ukrainian sources are also freaking out because there is indications the Russians will be going all out around the 24th; I'm withholding judgement on their prediction for now, but general activity and associated Russian battlefield success continues to accumulate.

Given how catastrophically wrong you have been, again and again, I think you can be safely ignored in this matter.

I actually rely on a site called Livemapua, which gives a good info on the front lines. From what I saw, Orikhiv is awfully close to being surrounded.

And we can’t post pictures straight from the screenshots on our phones, right?

That's not how large scale population movements work. 50% in a short timeframe? Impossible. Maybye over a couple decades, and even that would be very fast. Even Syria didn't lose half its population despite what a shithole it is being over the last decade.

A majority of the remaining Soviet Jews emigrated in the 1989-1999 time period.

Just be mindful of what you post, is all. Regardless of where one’s opinion falls in this conflict, we’d prefer to avoid “gore porn” here.

My prediction on this war, BTW, is that it will turn out like the Iran-Iraq War: A heavily sanctioned, much more populous country facing off a non-sanctioned and much less populous country but also one with an extremely massive amount of Western support. After years of attempting to conquer this smaller country, the larger country will fail and eventually reluctantly call it quits. It took Iran eight years to do this. I wonder just how long it will take Russia to do this.

I was going to post a screenshot of the livemapua section where Orikhiv is located and surrounded.

Most likely however long it will take for Putin to die, retire or be assassinated.

The Slavic Alliance Continues the Tank Biathlon. Some more thrilling highlights... as well as a wish this was covered by ESPN 8 or something.

It looks like the South Ossetians had a slight turret malfunction resulting in their loaded tank rounds circling abut and taking aim momentarily at the competing Zimbabwean crewed tank and the occupied audience stands as well.

Zimbabwe meanwhile had their main gun jam for some reason and needed Russian mechanics to solve the issue.

The Armenian team tried to do a wicked drift but instead almost did a rollover, resulting in the tank itself being unable to continue and requiring a recovery vehicle to tow it out. A replacement tank was needed for the Armenians to complete the course. However this is a practical move to defend from top-attack munitions.

Yet it was the Sudanese Tank that took the Lions Share of the Glory this day... its feats so notable and mighty... it takes an actual Twitter thread to fully chronicle its exploits. 👇

Caucasian and African tankie action lol! :D ;)

You could hire YouTube’s Urinatingtree to commentate on the Tank competition in Russia, and it would be funny as hell. Who’s the Lolcow of that tank tournament?

A place to practice and fuck up without dying unless they own coffins on tank treads so shitty it kills them during the practice while driving.

What war? USA had A bomb and air forces capable of deliver it.Soviets had not,and 50% of their oil come from Baku.
Americans would need only to bomb Baku, and then one soviet city per week.No A bomb needed, soviet fighters was joke.
When Truman say that soviets must run from Iran, they run.If he say the same about Poland, reaction woud be the same.

Churchill was actually ready to attack the USSR, but Truman was a Commie (people tend to forget that) and UK could not win, let alone liberate Poland, without US support:
