U.S. Officials Admit They Have Lied About Ukraine Success and Russian Failures

Not sure if this is the right thread, so feel free to move if necessary.
Ukraine did defeat the Russians in the sense they prevented the Russians from taking Kiev.
Add in the fact that as Marduk pointed out.
All shills who are in the betting pool for Russia

I vote alternate history.

If an all-star gallery of notorious shills says so it must be true.
I had thought that the Gateway Pundit was above relying on people who see Sullivan, Ritter, and McGregor as 'reliable sources' on anything relating to military intel or operations, or anything really.

The Ukrainians are stuck in a slug of attacks and counter-attacks, of continuous arty duels, urban warfare, and with parts of the west trying to hamstring their defensive measures/purchases to appease Russia, or are still trying to buy Russian product via sanctions evasion. Ukraine still surviving and having reserves to call upon was not expected at this stage when the invasion began, so Ukraine is in a much better position that many thought it would be.

Russia is going to get victories here and there, but they are mostly Pyrrhic and deplete troops/equipment Russia cannot replace

Edit: Anywho, looks like the Russians got chewed up near Izyum when they took the town.
Edit 2: Wrong tweet initially.

The more you learn, I suppose.

Personally I feel Ukraine and Poland, maybe with Romania/Moldova in the mix, uniting and creating a new power block/federation outside the EU bureaucracy, then driving off Russia with strength of arms, is more likely than Ukraine ceding territory to Moscow.

I've got some odds on Poland reclaiming Galicia from Ukraine if shit goes bad for them as a buffer.
Lol, not gonna happen. The obsession about buffers is a plague of discussion of the matter, in real consideration they are nowhere near as valuable. Besides, look at the map, Poland already has a border with Russia anyway.

Secondly, in Poland there was already grand political discourse to be had about the feasibility and sensibility of holding on to lands full of people who aren't really your countrymen, between 1920's and 1940's. In the end the answer that came up was definite no.
And the whole current mess is a result of Russia's answer to that question being a definite yes.

Germany should avoid cucking, TBH. It's its Manifest Destiny to pull Ukraine out of Russia's orbit, after all. It did it in 1918, 1941-1944, and again in 2014-present.

Well,no.They created Ukraine in 1918,true,but in 1941 they send dude named Koch who openly said to ukrainians that they must be german servants, not allies. As result,UPA who helped germans killed jews in 1942 in 1943 mutinied/and killed poles on its own/
From 2014 germans are kgbstan allies, and currently pay for their war.

The Americans are being smart for once. An American rocket used to kill Russian civilians will be a major escalation.

Since when Putin care about his cyvilians? he started his reign with blowing up 311 of them.

@Arch Dornan - Lwów is polish city, but we do nt take it back, becouse it means bigger border with Moscov. We do not need that.

It won't be the first time an elected government does something their own voters didn't want them to do.
Our elected goverment is pro-Ukrainian,and our opposition is either pro-german or pro-kgbstan,so they would not take Lwów,too.
There is no party in Poland who want that.

I feel sorry for whatever SOB ends up in charge of Ukraine's logistical branch when this all over given the shitload of diverse gear they've been getting. Is useful as heck for now don't get me wrong but oh boy will it be a pain in the ass down the road
Put the non standard stuff on monuments in public parks and sell off the rest on e-bay. And standardise on domestically made stuff.

But also perhaps dismantle/break down a few of the non-standard stuff to try figuring out how they actually work. Or, on second thought, maybe just asking the West about this would be more prudent?

40 Leopard 2s....that's what a battalion's worth of decently high end MBTs? Not a bad amount of kit. These idiots are letting the Russians see all of the West's different fancy toys in action, while the Russians are keeping their own modern stuff out of sight, and using... T-60-somethings?
