Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

1. I need to be indoctrinated more first with Russian revanchist ideas first especially if I knew people who knew a time when the states that split were once Russian.
2. I might still surrender after getting bombarded with artillery 24/7.

You won't surrender if you'll get executed by the Ukrainians for trying to surrender. At least, a sane person probably wouldn't want to risk it. Better to risk dying in battle than to get guaranteed death as a result of you trying to desert.

In a war the sane becomes the insane I could try fragging those trying to kill me before I desert if I can't stand the pressure.

Too much fake news?

From what I understand the Russian way is to grind Ukranians by cheating with artillery as they slowly advance forward with cauldrons to encircle them. I don't see that changing when that way is to keep killing the Ukranian military until there's none left to resist.

I heard they're already shooting them already with Azov influenced officers thus making morale go even lower.

Sucks for them. I heard otherwise for other Russians but opinion is always divisive.

There is no such thing as "cheating with artillery"

Honestly, I don't see why they had to fire her so soon, the fake rape allegations worked, portraying the russians as subhuman monsters, while no mayor media outlet talked about them being revealed as fake. Sure, her incompetence is problematic, but it would be better for them to hand over her duties to someone else and keep her as a figurhead in order to save her firing as a face saving measure when something so embarrasing happens that even western media would take notice.

1. Not if politics makes them relevant.
2. Hasn't stopped people from trying.

Account of one volunteer captured by the Russians after surrendering.
So take it with a dump truck of salt because he would not be allowed to say shit if he wasn't cooperating with them in what he's saying. And considering what he's saying, if i was a KGB prisoner handler for DPR i wouldn't write a much different script for him to say...

He'll live longer compared to the more unlucky SOBs.

1.If kgb ruling elites children fought there, maybe. When they send poor and minorities, then they would not fight if they could die.Well, you could find fanatics, but not enough to matter.
2.Most would still remain and fight - and that is enough for Ukraine to survive.

@History Learner you spouted bullshit about the Russian BBC, then disappeared when I pointed out that BS. Then, you show back up a while later, hoping every forgot and spouting more dumb shit, with just enough of a gentrified air, buzz word jargon, and tangential relationship with the truth to lend you credibility.

That new shit was just as slanted and misrepresentative as the last. Others already pointed out why and how but you continued in what can only be seen as bad faith and wilful ignorance. You never even bothered to address your own earlier argument. You asked for me to quote your lies, and I did.

Now you're going to run off again? 🙄 Your arguments are bad, and your inability to stand by them and argue just shows it further.

1. Are we still talking about current Russia or WW2 Russia?
2. I'm not so sure about that one should the war keep on grinding.
