Actually you can convert to get married. But it's not the state that is involved. You go to a Rabbi to get converted to a Jew so you can marry a Jew girl, or go to a priest to get converted to be a Christian so you can marry a Christian girl. That's because Judaism and Christianity don't allow marriage outside the faith. Only Muslim men can marry Jewish, or Christian women without converting to their religion.

Priests are not supposed to allow that. I don’t know about Protestants but Catholics and Eastern Orthodox don’t allow people to marry non Christian’s. And if they try to marry a person of another Christian denomination the church will require The couple to promise any children to be raised in the church before the church will agree to bless the union.

The article fails to establish anything about point one being anything more than just a declaration by the government that this is what they believe, and based on my own followup research I can't find anything to suggest it has any legal authority whatsoever, certainly not to the point that it can override the explict equal protection under the law guaranteed by the Israel constitution.

The other two points are completely irrelevant to your claim and to Vox's claim, lots of counties only have one official language. It has nothing to do with apartheid, country to Vox's handwringing, nor do settlements in conquered territory.

This is why no one trusts anything Vox says. Get better sources, and maybe read them before posting.

You see, this Vox we are talking about here, to them any country not embracing multiculturalism is racism, apartheid, right wing extremism or something along those lines.
Israel in this statement simply openly states that it has an intention to be a nation-state, not a wannabe multicultural utopia doomed to end up like all the other wannabe multicultural utopias.
