Outgoing Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will reportedly NOT be attending Lula's inauguration on January 1, 2023 and will not be handing ovet the presidential sash.

Instead Bolsonaro will be on vacation in Mar-a-Lago.

I wouldn't put it past him to just flee the country. The way the entire political establishment here has been having Bolsonaro Derangement Syndrome they are really gonna want to arrest him.

Also there was a lot of talk that they didn't want him at the innauguration anyway, but now they are changing their mind. Loads of mixed signals.

And finally, seems Lula will do a Biden and have a very security heavy inauguration. Very few people seem to even wanna go.

It's already stated he won't be there for the inauguration(in fact, I think Bolsonaro left the country yesterday; to Florida, actually), neither will be Vice-President Mourão. Someone else will pass the Presidential.. Sash? ...Band? My guess is the president of STF will stand in place for the cerimony.
