There's no threat to the United States or Biden personally. If the US wants to influence Ukraine more, say on striking Russian oil infrastructure, give them something in return. Ukraine wants weapons. The US is still free to decide to not supply them with weapons.

The only threat is for Bidens pro-Ukrainian base politically. I'm not sure how that counts as a threat to America. If threatening ones political aspirations and influence is an attack on America itself, that would be a very interesting base metric to judge things on.

Yes it does happen, but it can have different effects some good some bad.
I myself don’t want to get mixed up with either side I won’t stop Russias invasion, but I also won’t stop Ukraines counter invasion.
But MrTao does have a right to resent Ukraine for what he sees as manipulation of foreign affairs that will cause things to affect domestic issues like higher gas prices.
Manipulation of foreign affairs is literally the point of foreign policy, which is established as something that countries do. If he resents that, he's being fucking ridiculous, and i'm pointing this out.
I don't see him resenting OPEC all the time yet that's normal for OPEC to do on far greater scale.
I recognized your word trickery based attempt into turning a particular instance of international politicking into a threat to make it sound bad, and took this crude manipulation to its logical conclusion - everyone who doesn't automatically give favors to Biden admin for free is threatening it by your logic. That's not a threat, that's a recognition that favors may take favors to pay for. To be honest if I were Zelensky I’d probably have gone to D.C myself to harangue the GOP and the DNC. I feel like something to the effect of “You promised to help us. Yet my people are dying and you sit here playing politics” might at least give some of them a needed nudge.
He's tried that several times already, and several delegations of US Reps have gone to Ukraine to speak with him since the war began.
The problem is both sides have decided to make the border and foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Gaza into one massive omnibus bill as leverage against each other in an election year.
The only way that the gridlock will end is either the election happens, or something forces the hand of both the Dems and the GOP at the same time.
The Dems want their illegal aliens, amnesty for illegals already here, and effectively want to force landlords to put homeless illegal immigrants in vacant units, instead of allowing the landlords to put the units on the normal market. The GOP knows this, everyone except some foreign US allies know this (some of our 'allies' also enable it).
The GOP is fracturing around Ukraine the same way the Dems are fracturing over Oct 7th, but the GOP still has enough unified anger over the stolen election of 2020 and Trump is still the least worst option for the US. The GOP also is, unfortunately, fucking retarded in it's PR operations and management, with it and a large part of the Trump base (myself included for a while) taking the wrong message from 2016.
It wasn't that Trump was great that he won, it's that Hillary Clinton was that bad a candidate for the Dems to run. If they had run Biden, or Bernie, in 2016, I'm not sure Trump would have won.
People vote against things, more than they vote for them, in the US, is the main insight from the American political process post-2016.
