"TradWives" Triggering Unhappy Feminists

@Typhonis hit the bullseye: anger and jealousy.

A single-income family (housewife or househusband) is well-off enough to not need a second paycheque to afford their lifestyle. They forget that homemaker is effectively a full-time job with no days off.

Heck, two-income families where the second income comes from a part-time job also qualify as "traditional" if the second paycheque isn't needed. The rich-people analogue is unpaid volunteer work.

They are angry and jealous that the Trad women apparently have something that fills an empty spot in their life. Something you can't buy nor steal.

This isn't new.

I can't remember where I heard it, but only five percent of women would actually never have children if left to their own devices. Many of the sinking into despair middle aged women of today were effectively pushed against their very ancient urge to procreate by a mixture of social engineering and the economy being wrecked.

The great lefty movements of emancipation declared war on human nature and have thus broken Homo Sapiens in the process.

Yeah, I heard that too. I think it was on the Podcast of the Lotus Eaters. Apparently it's been very consistent throughout history that 5% of women lack the desire to have children... Which of course means that most of the current crop of childless women have been effectively forced/tricked into it by feminism. And those same women, on some level realizing they've been duped, are now reeing in a mixture of jealousy and misplaced anger whenever they come across women who didn't get duped (e.g. tradwives).

Yeah…

Honestly, as much as people rag on Feminism and frame it in terms of the escalating Culture War, I have to wonder if the Great Recession (and resulting economic uncertainty) crushing Millennials’ economic prospects is also to blame? May not be the only factor at work, of course, but if the job market’s rough and you can’t buy a house, odds are lots of people who’d otherwise start families will feel “discouraged” and won’t start families like their well-off Boomer parents did.

Indeed, while the Boomers may have fooled around in their youth and grew up to be a rather “ineffective” cadre of world leaders, at least they had an economically sound future to look forward to and bring up their kids in. The kids they had who are adults now, on the other hand, can’t really say the same. In short, wherever people here stand on gender roles and sexual morality, “It’s the economy, stupid!” shouldn’t go ignored, either.

The rampant "Your life is not complete without the latest new Shiny Thing (TM)" keep up with the Jonses consumerism isn't helping.

No, you do not need to blow $1,000+ on a new iPhone every year just because your neighbours do. This goes double if you sit back and consider what you actually do with your smartphone.

To be fair if laws were made restricting women’s access to work like the past then the economy would change. Wages would go up and single breadwinners households could be possible again.

There are a lot of soc-med videos and posts from older feminists now saying either "where have all the good men gone?" (they haven't learned their lesson and are looking for a sucker to settle down with now that their "fun years" are over with) or "don't be duped by feminism" (they learned their lesson and are trying to warn the younger women not to do what they did).

Hell, the writer of Sex and the City, the book writer mind, openly stated she was wrong, and that her books did more damage than good to women.

She's rich, but alone and pretty much broken as a person. No family. No husband. No children.

I think a lot of it is women seeking perfection, Handsome, strong, rich, Etc Etc while men can be the same way but we will settle for good enough.

Part of it , I think, is there is not really a good place for men and women to talk to each other in a setting where they can hash out things anymore. A place where a man can be a man, a woman can be a woman, and they can relax near each other and not worry about the stress of a date.

When they're not looking to get their backs blown out by Chads and Tyrones, women (even women who are, frankly, a 3 on a scale of 10) have said they'll only go for the top 5% of men (six figure income, six pack, over six foot, et cetera). That top 5% have, well, options, and they're not going to date or marry Jabba the Hutt's sister, nor would they likely just settle for one woman (because, again, options and women are fucking desperate, despite knowing they're being played).

They're fucking delusional, and it's partly why men are just walking away from women.

Id say the great recession hurt, but another factor is probally urbanization. Its really hard to raise a family in a big city and every place you see mass urbanization you see long term declining birth rates.

Right now your starting to see ruralization in the united states which might help us down the road.

Everyone's labor was happily devalued by the employers who welcomed all the female workers into the workforce not by paying what had been a wage to support a man, wife and kids but instead expecting dual income and no longer needing to pay a wage that supports a family. I'm all for women working, but they devalued the wage expectation and so now the lower classes can't support a home on one income and need to get a benefit or both parents need to work. This has caused a huge disruption in how kids are raised and the ability of working class families to rise through home ownership and savings.

That’s exactly why I said what I said earlier the extra P.A. our devalued waves the only way to raise them is either communism by ordering private businesses to give raises, OR we go back to traditional society where half the population are home makers.
