The Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022 which was back in March of 2022 which provided the initial $13.6 billion in emergency aid already had a requirement where it issued $4 million specifically to the Office of the USAID Inspector General for that oversight and four million more for the State Department Inspector General. In addition to that, there was the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General who had their own oversight operation and from what I could find, were to report their findings to Congress as of June 2022 of that year.

You're free to have suspicions that I support Russia. I have posted to clarify, if you still don't believe that, it's on you.

But saying that I don't care who wins doesn't mean that I don't care about the conflict. I do care that there is a conflict that is driving up inflation and prices around the world, that is causing stability issues, and that my tax dollars are funding. I care about that a lot.

I don't care who ends up owning some tiny strip of land on the other side of the world.

Well, the proof is in the pudding. Before this war Russia, China and Iran weren't working together quite so much were they? Your irrational diplomacy, incompetent management of the war and sheer arrogance brought Russia together with two of its historical geopolitical rivals.

They have seen through the fiasco in Ukraine and the growing fiasco in Gaza that western doctrines and western equipment arent especially special. They have seen the effectiveness of drones used by and against Russia. And they have seen that the west is not able to keep up with even Russia in the production of basic munitions.

They smell weakness.

Yeah, it's the conflict. Not the multi trillion dollar green shit, not the trillion dollar pork bills, not the multi trillion COVID policies, not the multi trillion immigration and welfare policies...

Where one would get ideas that it's all because of the conflict and to solve that it needs to be "ended" with a peace deal giving concessions to Russia. I wonder, who would promote such ideas... Who could this be?

It's certainly an interesting theory to postulate that Russia, China and Iran were "brought together" by the Ukraine War considering that they were big trading partners including in military equipment for over a decade prior to the Ukraine Conflict and even discussions of bringing Iran into the CSTO go back just as long.

I would agree that the relationship deepened inasmuch that China, Iran and North Korea are profiting immensely off of Russia invading Ukraine. China is no longer importing or exporting military weapons to Russia and in turn is selling Russia components and North Korean shit at favorable prices instead and Russia is financing the war by selling off its natural resources at a premium price. In that way, the relationship has certainly deepened.

In regards to military production, the United States has publicized its manufacturing numbers for decades now and everything else regarding numbers was known by open sources. I'm sure China has learned a great deal about how backwards Russia's manufacturing is without foreign components and now that Russia is unable to fulfill its military exports to other "geopolitical rivals" like India and Vietnam, that China is enjoying that as well as well as the fact that Russia's blood and treasure is providing an excellent distraction if China does want to pursue its military interests on the other side of the globe.

But the SCCO and BRICS and Sino-Russian Special Relationship and Russia being the primary arms daddy (including technology) to China and Iran for decades now hasn't really changed.

As for smelling weakness, Iran has had a confrontational policy with the United States and vice versa for the past fifty years with minor exception, and Sino-American tensions have been a thing for decades as well, including an inflaming of them during the Trump Administration, so I don't see any particular scents of weakness being wafted about exceptionally now.

Any strengths China and Iran have had come at the expense of Russia. China is still buying jet engines from Ukraine and was selling them thousands of FPV drones to kill Russians with they tried curbing the practice not too long ago, and Chinese companies still are afraid of Western sanctions for openly exporting military components to Russia. And meanwhile these inflaming tensions have also increased military funding in the West, including in the United States and caused an increase and acceleration of production. And not just in Europe and the United States, but also South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Australia etc.

The statement on the weakness of Western weapons is hilarious. Hopefully the Chinese actually believe the Russian information that American made Patriot-2's didn't intercept Russian "hypersonic" missiles, and that Russia destroyed dozens of HIMARS systems, and that 90% of these ATACMS and Storm Shadows are being shot down and the Moskva sank from a smoking accident, not a pair of Harpoon missiles. I think China putting trust in their Russian allies in this regard is one aspect of how the relationship between the two countries should be fostered.

I'm claiming that this is obviously terrible judgement of what is causing the problem, ascribing a meaningful part of it to what is a tertiary contributor at most, while some of the other, more important causes are domestic and less defensible.

You said you care about the wars because of X problems that affect you.
I point out that wars have little influence on X problems that affect you, domestic policies A, B and C are the major causes of X problems.

It's not that you can't care about more than one thing, it's that you are scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find a reason, no matter how small or dubious, to care about one specific controversy in a specific way, and it's a chain of explanations that gets more eyebrow raising with every step.

And what i see is that one moment you go on a long exchange of posts trying to convince people that Russia is winning big and the Ukraine should use the power of wishful thinking to give concessions to Russia and make peace forever, and next moment you go that you don't care, then you get asked why you did the former if you don't care, and then you go that you care because it causes big economic strain in USA, and when i point out this is a ridiculous idea and other things cause it you complain that people think you support Russia.
