Death is rarely as dramatic IRL as it is in fiction.
One of the reasons Saving Private Ryan was considered a ground-breaking movie, was how it depicted death in a wide variety of ways, including 'Yeah, dude you were just talking to is just gone now, it doesn't seem like it should be that easy.'
It's strange... I know I've been desensitized to it because it literally looks like Airsoft (FPS camera footage) or a Command and Conquer game (RTS drone footage) to me.
