Russian Military (as opposed to Wagner) forming units made up of prisoners and so-called 'refuseniks' who previously disobeyed military authority into special "Storm" units which suffer high casualties in their assaults. Battle Order did a video on the new Russian Assault Detachments which were established/developed specifically in response to the challenges presented by the Ukrainian Special Military Operation.
Assault Detachments are special battalion sized units lacking in the traditional sustainment and support units that a Battalion Tactical Group would have but instead filled with more firepower (with sustainment coming from above units assumedly).
Much of the data came from captured Russian documents and other sources linked in the videos description.

Hundreds of Migrant Workers from various former Soviet Central Asian Republics are being hired by Russian firms to collect dead bodies, dig trenches and engage in construction work, often very close to war zones. Some have reportedly been killed or wounded. Some issues have apparently arisen over apparent deception regarding the safety and security of the work, lack of promised pay and the inability to leave Ukraine if dissatisfied with their work. Apparently Russian Women Convicts are also being persuaded to work in Ukraine in exchange for having their criminal records expunged and/or payment.
