Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

...
Because they havnt brought T14s into the field because they don't have enough

Where does my government say that?
I have not seen anyone saying they have just that it I'd rumored they used them last month
You don't test out things you literally do not have the money to replace

They confirmed a positive for the public to eat up and panic.

However this one can't confirm or deny.

Welp this happened.

I was wondering when that could happen. True or not makes for good public wailing.

Anyone know slavic to confirm? As a private conversation I wouldn't be surprised what anyone says when war fervor is high, spouses in the military depending on the environment let loose their contempt behind closed doors.

Given Russia has been cut off from access to high end electronics, they probably don't have the ability to replace them even if the money existed.
Russia's military has been making its own semiconductors:

Plus there is probably quite a bit of clandestine trade with China going on.

You seem to have missed a rather important part of that article...
The motherboards utilise the AMD B450 chipset and work with common AMD Ryzen CPUs

Looks like they're running out of fighting men.

The ability to make modern motherboards doesn't imply the ability to make modern processors. Also from the article:
Just one article talking about their production, I'm not suggesting that is the only production they're engaged it, but that would be classified. Nevertheless some older articles do give hints about what might be built up in Russia:

Of course the movement of international chips are quite opaque and Russia could get what they need anyway:
Drones still filled with Western parts:

Purge of the FSB in the wake of considerable intelligence failures in regards to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine apparently going on. 150 plus on the chopping block... So to speak.

An apparently very valuable Russian Radar System was left abandoned in the Chernihev Oblast.

Also lost... And found in Chernihev where Russian losses are still being documented days later... S half dozen plus armored vehicles including tanks, IFV's, self propelled artillery and even a bridge layer and multimillion dollar Air Defense Vehicle.

Not everyday you see a Polish volunteer serving with an Anarchist Battalion in Ukraine clowning for the camera in front of an abandoned Russian armored vehicle.

Also rarely seen... This combination of weapons in one vehicle.

Interesting little video with a NATO consultant analyzing things like Bucha and how the USA and the west west in general basically did everything in its power to goad Russia into this.
Zelenski is a powerless puppet, and if he pisses off the Nezi morons in the country it is off with his head.
Oh, and he reiterates the same ideas stated before by multiple sources about Russia's objectives and mode of warfare.
But hey, the Usual Suspects and armchair idiots will probably ree and disregard it, so I wonder why I even bother.

Ukrainian Officials met with officials from General Atomics, the makes of the MQ-1 and MQ-9 Predator and Reaper Drones recently.

Rest in Peace Lieutenant Colonel Miras Bashakov of the Russian Naval Infantry. He was apparently a Tank Battalion Commander with the Black Seas Fleet.

Another Battalion Commander, this one of the VDV/Airborne was also reportedly killed. Rest in Peace Major Denis Yagidarov. Like so many before him, he too was posthumously awarded the 'Hero of Russia.'

Aftermath of an attack on a Small Russian convoy by Ukrainian forces backed by a Technical.

Ukrainian Drone Poops on a Russian T-72 tank. The second dump finishes it.

Oryx also released a new article detailing the Battle of Hostomel during the opening days of the fighting and how it led to the ultimate failure of the Russians attempt to either take or encircle Kyiv. And of course... it includes the now ubiquitous equipment losses for that specific engagement.

From the latest news, it makes me think that this war seems being optimal to remove incopentents and/or potential rivals of Putin.
Even if it wasn't planned , it could be good for Russia in the long run.

With the ~1000 remnants of a Ukrainian Marine Brigade surrendering, total prisoners taken in the Mariupol Area have reached ~3,000, out the revised estimate of 17,000 in the pocket. UkA narrative is unable to stand up to the ground reality, hence the latest twitter purge of what little filters on there from Telegram and Mash. Mariupol is no less than a catastrophic disaster for Ukraine.

Comrade, you should have joined us in 2014, well have some tea and reflect on how you led your unit to ruin, again.

So much more on Telegram and Mash and so little time. I promised my wife to take her out and so out I go.

Ukraine seems to disagree with Russia on that.

And since we have a Russian source saying one thing, and a Ukraine source saying another, it means absolutely nothing because both are worthless.

Alleged War Crimes from stories over the past few days...

Six Year Old Visits the Grave of his Mother, who died of "natural causes" during the Russian Liberation and was buried in the backyard.

And another Tweet showing him apparently leaving some food by her graveside.

Reportedly a Mother spotting the dead body of her son allegedly deposited into a well by Russian soldiers after being killed by the Liberators.

Two Tweets about a New York Times (typically paywalled though not for me atm) story expanding on the War Crimes that were alleged to of occurred within Bucha. This too includes descriptions of executions and gang rapes perpetrated by the Russian Liberators.

Another account of the depredations suffered by Ukrainians being liberated. This one alleges some of the ethnically Russian forces were more accommodating then the ethnically Tuvan troops who engaged in abuse and looting of the local population more liberally.

Anecdote in brief of a toddler and their family being killed by the Russian Liberators.

BBC Interviews locals who live in a village West of Kyiv who offer up allegations of loved ones being executed, as well as drug use, looting and of course, rape.

In one case a victim alleges she was raped by a fighter from one unit who was also responsible for mortally wounding her husband when the arrival of another unit of Russians might've saved her from more sexual abuse.

The first post on the thing in this thread about that attack was someone unabashedly blaming Zelensky for firing a missile on that train station. There's a reason I tend to wait and see and sit on things that allege stuff like that. Same as why I haven't bothered with that chemical warfare accusation in Mariupol yet.

Good on the Russian soldiers who showed human decency during a horrific time. Yes, they hypothetically could have done more, but to basically go against orders and resist your own side? That requires uncommon bravery. To few people will stand up to people on their own side, and in war, that number drops even further.
