Trouble is, we won't be waifu material. Stripped of one of our primary means of experiencing empathy, humans will end up more like Batarians. This is what we are inflicting on children when we permit muzzle mandates in schools.

As a complete aside, this exposes a weakness in the writing of Mass Effect: they did not offer any sort of credible accounting for the loss of visual facial cues to Quarrian society.

Whatever Quarians evolved from was probably closer to birds then monkey's.

Hence it's highly likely that it's more body language then facial cues for them.

Should have; but Facui had (and still has) too much power to ever be held accountable for his actions. Not unless someone with equal or greater power has it out for him, or feels threatened by something he's done.

If I wanted medical investigation done on myself to see if I also have these anomalies, how what procedure would I have to ask for?

You're looking at around $3000 for a microscope that's good enough to do effective blood analysis.

There are microscopes out there that advertise being good enough for much cheaper, but the reviews I've seen on those claim the light isn't good enough to perform an effective analysis.

$3000 is actually on the cheaper side. Not quite shitty budget style cheap, but on the lower end.

Check out the Optika B-510DK if you're in US/Canada. It's one of the cheaper ones that is actually worthwhile.

Monterey bay Aquarium in California is now requiring proof of vaccination or test within 72 hrs for entry(which between planning appointments and scheduling basically means unvaxxed can no longer enter). I guess I knew that the exclusion of people was coming, but it still hurts to see it. These fuckers also sent out support for blm during the summer when all that stuff was especially happening. It'll eventually reach places like grocery stores and gasoline stations no doubt. I will have to leave California at some point, I've held on as best I could but I am expecting a requirement to vax from my job most likely, eventually to happen. Won't be getting it, this is the hill I will die on if it comes to it.

I don't fear getting the vax that offers minimal/unreliable protection or getting crippled by rare-ish side effects, I've always powered through things, its the principle of the matter.
 
A close friend of mine has come down with COVID, I found out today. He's in his 80s so in a bad age group, and was both fully vaccinated and had his booster shots. Symptoms so far are mild, a fever and tiredness.

Edit: should add, the doctor is treating him with something called Regeneron which is a fusion of two other medications, Casirivmab and Imdevimag. I'm not familiar with any of them.

Regeneron is the standard for hospitalized patients as far as I know.

Best of luck to your friend. It's always scary when the old ones get it.

Trump did regeneron, and it seems one of the higher end therapeutics, so hopefully it will help.
