Australian government has already been pushing the line that things will never be "back to normal" but that "if you obey we will be able to grant you some more freedoms"

Governments can be replaced and have multiple times either in elections or through full out revolution.

My current bet on australia is full on revolution.

Man! Anyone from Colorado know how she's doing appealing to what's become a very blue state?
This is the first I'd heard of her, and not sure how is sorts out politically.

I'm not exactly thrilled with the Colorado state-level GOPs last pick for Gov; he was grandson of a governor who also happened to be a high ranking member in the KKK, and was rubbing on the social wound in the city that is the Stapleton name/neighborhood/old airport. Polis beat him fairly easily, and has not burned too much populatirty during the pandemic.

Polis said when the shit ended/ends, he intends to allow bars to stay open till 4 am instead of 2 am to make up for the forced closings and capacity restrictions, though he's also not pushed enforcing mandates too hard, because he hates wearing masks himself and said he looks forward to the day we can burn all of them.

In CO the main focus should be on retaining Boebert's seat, so at least one Rep from CO is in a relatively 'safe' red district, and not on turning the state purple or red in presidential elections.

So they are not trying to destroy DeSantis with some of the most tone deaf political propaganda ever.

They are unironically playing the fact Florida doesn't require or force vaccines and masks as evil. He is "The Mad Covid King" and go as far as to invoke The Purge on it. It honestly looks like one of those ads making fun of democrats, not a real thing.

Meanwhile in Brazil

Sad thing is, many people are completly blind thanks to Bolsonaro hate and MSM brainwashing mixed with stray dog syndrome (a common name given to people who think everything Brazilian is trash and everything foreign is good) that they WANT authoritarian anti-Covid bullshit. I have even seen NPCs praise Australia.

I understand that your new map has just come out and it's expected to have 3 safe R seats, as well as 4 D and one swing with advantage to D. (For others, current delegation 4D 3R)

What's your reaction to that?

Seems fine; given CO got a new seat.

The Greeley/Fort Collins/Loveland area is already fairly distinct from the rest of the state and even the Denver Metro, so the new district put them all together for their own DC Rep.

It's probably less swing than anyone on the Right wants it to be; it's a definitely a purple area, but I'm not sure of how the new district map will shake out in the longer term.
