Yes and no. Sorta. While most of us know that those franchises are unlikely to pull a turnaround, we can still love them for what they were, all be it while trying not to line their current owners' pockets with our money.Frustration, but it feels sad watching them continue to cling to the dead corpses of their favorite franchises after all these years.
Yes, the fall of Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel and DC comics to corporations that been fully converged by the woke is sad, but complaining isn't going to change anything. The franchises you loved are gone and they're never coming back, not in the way you want them. Stop worshipping franchises. Move on with your life. Find new things to enjoy. No, you're not going to find new genre movies and TV with high production values like Star Wars that isn't woke. That era is over. You have to embrace other mediums like anime or indie published books and comics. Support them.
Continuing to criticize what they've become allows other like-minded fans to know 'you aren't alone out there', especially if they didn't know, thanks to astroturfing, of how many other people share their views. It helps give informed reasons why not to go buy more. Not to mention that woke creators don't like to have their BS called out, as well as continuing to show anyone who bothers to look that no, we aren't doing this because we're a bunch of 'ists' or 'phobes'.
Furthermore, I submit to you that one of the reasons why woke culture got so bad is that people kept giving ground to the crybully SJW types. SJWs would show up, pull their 'cycle of inclusiveness' trick, people would leave and try to build new communities, web forums, what have you when the ones they used to be on got taken over...only for the SJWs to follow them or to use the opportunity to ideologically quarantine them.
It's why the specter of Gamergate keeps getting brought up. Because that was the first time in forever that the woke crowd faced actual resistance that didn't roll over and die when they started screaming the usual claims.
