I'd argue that the Technocracy fundamentally cannot align themselves with leftists. The Technocracy believes in rationalism, not as a fundamental truth but rather as the primary cause that they fight for. The unifying factor for all members of the technocracy is that they need to force the universe to be reasonable for the betterment of mankind.

Leftists are their most fundamental enemy, romanticists. Romanticist desire for the universe to adhere not to reason but feelings, emotions and impressions. They are the antithesis of rationalists.

See, I have the different opinion on how Romanticism vs Enlightenment / Rationalism maps onto Right vs Left. Attempting to force the universe to be a certain way, even if it requires burying certain unpleasant truths, allegedly for the benefit of all mankind doesn't seem particularly out of character for the left.

For an example, Evola and Matt Yglesias could each be fit pretty easily into Romanticism vs Enlightenment and Traditions vs Technocracy, but they wouldn't exactly match Romanticism and Leftism, or Enlightenment/Rationalism and Rightism.

The notion of a single man and his brothers-in-arms, working by intuition and instinct, imposing his vision of the world by shear force of will and the unequal power that nature has bestowed upon him is in my view implicitly right-wing, whereas a manufactured reality of Consensus by committee is implicitly left-wing.

That said, I'll admit it's not a particularly clean mapping. As @Navarro pointed out, the original inspirations for the Traditions were hippie subcultures (left wing romantics), whereas the the original inspiration for the Technocracy were corporate sector types and Men in Black types (at the time, maybe center-right rationalists? I'd say they've shifted left)

I will admit that the image you posted was pretty heinous on its face. The other art I've seen for Glory is better.

Edit: I acknowledge the nature of the problem you're describing. Trying to sell ugly art and bad stories (which the SJW-dominated comics industry is doing into a death spiral) doesn't just turn away my wallet, it disgusts me at a deeper level.

SOME of the art for nu-Glory (note that I haven't actually bought, pirated or read any) just pings my specific tastes.

I will be honest: If she wore a little less armor, like bikini-armor less, then I would consider her hot. I mean, show some midriff and this would be a hot amazonian beauty. Then again, any port in a storm for me.

So I watch the Rookie. It is a cop drama with Nathan Fillion as the main charater. The main hook was Fillion having a mid life crisis and becoming LAPD's oldest rookie.

Pre-pandemic they ended a season with a mentor being a mole and framing Nathan. Overall they mixed humor and action to make a decent cop show different enough form it's competitors to stand out.

They even managed the mandatory diverse cast with out becoming preachy or super special woke team like 911 Lone Star.

But then 2020 happen and it went off the air. The first two episodes have mainly been showing how BLM is justified and how cops only manage to do wrong things in poor neighborhoods. They do have the cops save the day in the end and have the activist take his kids to free tutoring. But the level of prechness makes me wonder how much longer I will be watching.

It also makes me wonder how Brooklyn 99 will come back. I know that Andy Sanburg has said they will have BLM be a focus this season but I expect it to ruin the show as it loses it comedy for preachness.


The same had true for Superstore which was funny for anyone that dealt with costumers or worked in a big box store. But they just had their mandatory BLM matters and white people need to check their privilege epsodie. They did manage to try and work some in some humor. But it fell flat and about the only humorous part what how it showcased how the new point system in wokness works.


I expect to see a rash of old shows getting quietly canceled if they continue this level of preaching.

A bit late but I never got the whole Mage series appeal. Like what if Public sentiment dictated the laws of physics. I mean there probabaly is a good sized subset of people who get their kicks off that idea but I'm not in it. Dont get me wrong I like the Fantasy genre but a genre where the deepest idea was that reality is just commonly accepted fantasy? Kinda loses a bit for me.
