Isn't it funny how Leftists will use both of these phrases:
"It was always woke, and you're not a real fan/are stupid if you don't see that."
"We had to overhaul the story because the original was regressive and outdated."

They just look at you blankly and utter the phrases. not going along with it will mark you as an other to them who doesn't just shut up, consume product, and push the narrative. if the goal is to engage with them like a thinking person it won't work. Last time I tried the guy just said I was like another guy he knew who was a schizo and dismissed the opinion. either you agree or there is something wrong with you to them. guy was a boomer lefty lib type who thinks it is still 08. republicans bad. dems good. thinks he is John Stewart and if he mocks the opposition in the lamest way possible that means he wins the argument. trying to win means engaging means you lose because lol he is just a comedian. not engaging means you lose because you refuse to defend the idea. an inherently dishonest form of argumentation.

That won't matter unless there is a competing cultural ideology that can outcompete them on the free market of ideas.

They'll just keep repeating this cycle until their social engineering succeeds. Or more likely, America ends up a cultural desert.

The whole game is like that. But especially Taash.

Taash who is clearly neurodivergent and is so non-conducive to group morale and cohesion, the group would be better off if Taash was not part of it.

Taash who demands to be called they/them, but calls Mr. Rogers the Necromancer, that's how nice and polite the man is, 'Skullfucker' and refuses to use his name.

And the whole time, Taash talks 100% like a modern millennial/zoomer.

I think the 'worst' part about that scene is that the Qunari already have a word and concept that works for non-binary. Part of their way, culture, religion whatever. And, like a petulant child: 'NO I'M NON-BINARY NOT [QUN FOR NON-BINARY]! BE HAPPY FOR ME!'

Veilguard has a lot of objective problems, like no roleplaying and very poor environmental layout and incredibly shallow combat, but the dogshit writing and woke shit just makes the game irredeemable.
 
Another thing that really blows with Veilguard is that the environments are fucking stunningly beautiful and it still runs well on pc.

Zones are clearly separate, with distinct visuals. The detail is amazing.

There's just not enough of them, you consistently repeat sections and go back to the same spots. And the layout is awful.

Combat is so bad, especially at higher (spongier) difficulties, that multiple reviewers have stated outright they've decreased the difficulty on their play through because it was so boring and taking so long.

Mission structure is poor too.

Yeah, it's got a lot of objective problems. Even before the woke shit.

I found all of the characters to be distractingly ugly and uncanny looking.
