Wagner PMC are just Russian and CIS servicemen who got bored of sitting around and decided to sign up for more $$$ in exchange for combat assignments.

There's a small unit fighting in Ukraine right now, over in the Donbass. No clue on numbers.

They've shot down several Wagner pilots in the last few weeks, and Wagner was being used for some of the urban fighting in Kherson and Mariupol, IIRC.
Also, there were article about Wagner trying to recruit people from Sub-Saharan Africa to help bulk up their numbers, and a few of those African mercs have even been found dead in Ukraine already.
I know I posted a few tweets with stuff about this in either the War or DonbAss thread, so it's not like it isn't already present on the forum.
Zach can probably find even more solid links to prove it.

Yeah, and it's somehow some people still don't get that low recruiting numbers are only a symptom of the wider clusterfuck of wokeness and politics that the DoD has become.
They complain about force numbers at the same time they discharge and fuck with people actually willing to serve, but not willing to trust Moderna or Pfizer shills who have forced these experimental vax's on the general population and military.

Hmm, maybe it’s just me, but part of me has started counting down the days until they decide to forcibly “remedy” falling recruitment numbers?
Even if they don’t bring back the draft outright, you could see a “suspicious surge” in young people charged for violating some arcane law down the line that’s impossible to know about and shouldn’t be there in the first place (and, of course, being given the choice between prison or military service once convicted). After all, the legal system doesn’t care whether you know the law or not (regardless of how obscure or unreasonable it is!), so I think that could be a potential springboard for pressing ”troubled youths” into service, twenty or thirty-some years from now.
That would backfire on the left.
Being in combat pretty much always brings you further to the right because you see first hand that the world is a dangerous uncaring place.
But will that keep you from losing pay and benefits?
