Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Looks like there are Greeks who want to go to Armenia and fight alongside the Armenians and the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh. Who would've imagined Turkey importing Syrian foreign fighters into the conflict could or would provoke other forms of escalation and widening of the conflict...

The Greek dream still lives and they'll settle for killing Turks in foreign land.

@Random Username, @Culsu while drones are punishing the Armenians hard, they have not lost significant ground. They are agreeing to terms because they want to be on the good side of the rest of the world, so they're trying to present themselves as reasonable. They know the Azeris won't agree, anyway, not with Turkler's backing.
I really can't tell what's happening but if they can win the international ground they can force the Azeris to pull back.

There are some reports now that the Azeris have finally had a breakthrough, on the southern front, where the territory is much more gentle. This is not into Karabakh proper, but into the occupied Jabrayil region. They are fighting with high morale because of the success of their drone war, but taking much heavier casualties than are reported in the media.

Really? I seem to be getting news of Armenian counter attack though, hmmm.
Azerbaïdjan just said they took Mataghis as well.

According to BBC Persian there have been protests in Iran supporting Azerbaijan and calling on the Ayatollah to close the border with Armenia over suspicions he's allowing Russian equipment to be funneled to Armenia via Iranian territory.

Also Azeri Grad rockets apparently missed Artsakh completely and instead bombarded Iran inadvertantly, injuring a six year old girl

Hmm, Azeris are are pretty big minority in Iran, am not surprised there's grass-roots support for Azerbaijan

Yeah and also... according to the Twitters... another drone used by the Azeris is the Turkish TB2 which is a (comparatively) 5 million in cost per drone.

Lost Armor made a compilation video of all of the Azeri released footage of their drone strikes.

Also this is a Twitter feed (@RALee85) that I've been following which has been acting like a news aggregate for the conflict so far.

The Armenians are counterattacking in the north, where the terrain is rough enough that they can use infantry hugging tactics from their very disciplined and well-trained infantry to negate the Azeri air advantage. They have a plausible target there, because part of the legal territory of Karabakh is still under Azeri occupation on that front, as well as an enclave of Armenia proper also under Azeri occupation.

Whoopsie.

The battles remind me of how Egypt fought Israel for the second round but more up to date.

Armenia has begun long-range rocket and artillery fire on the Ganja Military Air Base that the Turkish F-16s and drones are operating from. The counteroffensive in the north may have been to bring the artillery assets into range to commence this attack. The Azeris are claiming heavy damage to civilian districts, and, the Armenians may have simply been holding back to avoid looking bad internationally, and have no decided they have no choice.

Azeri forces have been bombarding Stepanakart, the capitol of the Republic of Artsakh, for the past few days now, including with cluster munitions. Here's one video... but there are others out there, including ones showing the multiple explosions.

But yes apparently the Armenians have brought the second largest city in Azerbaijan, Ganja, under bombardment themselves and the presence of Turkish troops/advisors there is seemingly confirmed by photos released (then deleted) by Azeri sources.
