Happily I have only seen small specimens of those, but the bastards just love to dig up all over the country roads I like to hike on, the two times I caught a sight of one it was fairly small and black furred.

Still, there are decent amounts of hunters and the hunting season got increased a few times in past years in order to keep the population down, mostly because of that African swine plague.

There are even dome old trenches dig out for military drills where the pigs loved to bathe, and when the village was more populous hunters even left food for the pigs in order to attract them.

Their food situation probably isn't improved by the huge overgrowth of trees and thorny bushed everywhere though.
