The War in Afghanistan

THE TALIBAN IS NOW SNEEDPOSTING THIS IS NOT A DRILL THEY HAVE FULLY ASSIMILATED THE MEME WARFARE

I got to admit, having the Taliban enter the meme war was not something I ever imagined.

However, their stuff will probably trigger the Left even more than anything the Right does, and the Left cannot make them feel any shame or guilt like they can with some on the Right.

So overall...let them fight.

Also, the reason ISIS-K was able to get at Kabul so fast is because Biden and Milley let all the damn ISIS-K we had imprisoned at Bagram go free:
And the reason for most of the ISIS members to be in that prison was that they surrendered to government forces in order to escape the Talibans in the last few years.

Like we needed another demonstration of where the present American regime's priorities lay. Can't and won't even try to prevent the Taliban from entering the airport while the evacuation isn't complete (with 4 days left to go to the deadline, August 31 isn't tomorrow) and thousands of personnel & civilians are still there, but a colonel starts demanding accountability from his chickenshit overlords and they'll do exactly what he said they'll do to him in a heartbeat. To say nothing of how the Pentagon will gleefully jump into the political arena to bash Tucker Carlson for making non-woke remarks about them, but has got nothing to say on this topic other than paper-thin lies, deflection and general ass-covering statements to protect Biden and/or themselves and will clearly lose their shit if anyone they consider their inferior steps up to demand answers & responsibility.

Since the Saigon comparison remains popular, though the ARVN hardly deserve the shame of being compared to the ANDSF - William Westmoreland's failings in Vietnam were many, but even he wouldn't come anywhere near this level of shameless incompetence and he'd surely feel enough (entirely justified) contempt for Milley and the rest of the brass to make a Vietnamese water buffalo shrivel up. At least that guy had an idea of what he wanted to achieve and put in genuine effort to achieve it.

We'll see how many are willing to put country above career.

Not a lot. Because we know Milley is going down after this.

Plus the fact that a lot of us are trying to make sure those out there get back safe and sound.

You seem to have a unrealistic expectation. The entire Federal Government and D.C. has spent no effort to hide EVERYTHING that has gone wrong under the blame of Biden alone. They have set him up as the fall guy he was always meant to be once Orange Man was gone. I doubt we will see these people get what they deserve, but I hope to be wrong.

This is what I thought of, too. Biden is just a sacrificial lamb in the game of breads and circuses. The guy is old, as in old old, and is likely suffering from cognitive disassociation from a disease such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. His hands are a dead giveaway during televised meetings, and the guy can barely fucking walk straight (he was practically yanked off-stage as soon as he began wandering away from the exit door in one press release).

If they're hoping Kamala will step in as President after... well, most of her own Party hate her guts and couldn't understand why she was chosen to be Commy Joe's running mate.

Thing is, it's not just the non-NPC part of the population that have become angry, now: It's the military, those who support the military, and the non-NPC/political appointment leaders of the military.

Anger really is rising.

We might just see this blow up in the Democrats' faces.

IMO the angle isn’t really to using Biden as a scapegoat (although I’m sure there’s a fair bit of not wanting to eat the blame). Rather, it’s to paint withdrawing from pointless foreign wars and anti-interventionism in general as irresponsible, reckless, and risky.

Just wait- in a few years we’re going to be hearing “you want to leave [sandbox X]? Do you want another Afghanistan?!” Hell, US Troops are supposed to be leaving Iraq this year - we might not even have to wait a year.
