The Americas The Tyranny within Canada: Trade War and Collapse

Yup.Their Sergeant York died fighting there,if i remember correctly.

To be honest, tanks was stupid name, too. Why not name them,as,dunno, drednaughts? or maybe chariots?

The word Tank was chosen as a codename, to hide the development of the tank from spies.

Not just PTSD.

IIRC there was a female, paraplegic veteran who was also a para-Olympics competitor who was waiting (for a long time) for a stairlift. She wrote their VA, and they sent back a letter that was basically 'if it's so important and we're taking so long, have you considered killing yourself?'

MaiD and similar programs are just trying to convince the undesirables (pensioners, long term care patients, depressed neurodivergent kids) to kill themselves instead of the government 'doing it' for them.

So they gave it a name no one can pronounce which will lead to the locals just continuing to call it the old name.
"shmuck me am awsome" is easy to pronounce, albeit a mouthful, and I am sure every teen will find it utterly hilarious to call it that from now on.

The main issue is that they did not write the name out in english, nor in french. which are the 2 official languages of canadia.
Instead they wrote the streetsign name in the Musquyeam language.

this would be a bigger problem for visitors who are baffled by a street sign they cannot read. or anyone trying to use a GPS.

Tbh when I was an asshole teenager that is the sort of sign I would have stolen to hang on my wall at home.

Speaking of Musquyeam did not have writing.
That is why it is using roman looking letters (and a couple of russian ones).
Because the whites who colonized canada invented a written language for the Musquyeam.
