United States The Left Can't Meme

Also false as fuck. The North started the Korean war by invading the South.
It's all in how you word it.

The Korean War wasn't an invasion of another country, Korea should be united.
The beating the Norks took in the Yom Kippur war (No really, they were in the mix too sending forces to invade Israel) wasn't invading another nation, Israel should be considered a rogue state.
And the Battle of Amami-Ōshima was only in Japan's economic exclusion zone, not the land, so it doesn't count.

So for some reason the left has latched onto Sailor Moon as a symbol of communism. Makes perfect sense, I know when I think of communism "Hereditary monarch with superpowers who is flat out superior to the common folk" is exactly what goes through my head. Anyway, enjoy the bizarre memes.

The funny thing is that odd picture and excessive verbiage aside, this works well as a right meme indicting communism, given the "Lying Flat" movement in China.

Only slightly excessively wordy... by leftist standards anyway it's still verbose as heck for a right meme. But what the heck does Sailor Moon have to do with it?

This one's actually kinda sweet... aside from them picking the most irritating washed-out image I've seen since the last irritating washed-out image they posted... also surplus value is a capitalist concept, under the communist labor theory of value there is no such thing as surplus.

It's never really explained (at least in the original run) what the future "Crystal Tokyo" is like. But there is nothing to really indicate its communist and nothing Serena/Usagi and co do really is pro communism or trying to sell it to people.

I think theres been remakes and additional series but I dunno about those, these images are from the original anyway.

They are probably latching onto the star cosmology as well as crescent moon which resembles the sickle. Might also be an indirect connection with the advance wars video game series where "blue moon" faction is soviet russia.

More likely than not is it just the Left once again perverting everything that they touch.

I think it's even simpler than that. Sailor Moon is a heroine, therefore she believes in what is right, therefore she is communist. Crystal Tokyo is even supposed to be an utopia, reinforcing such association.

You see, she does not rule alone, but with the advice of the other Sailors and of Endymion... it's just like the Central Committee of the Party!

Also, she was supposedly elected to the throne, and only left it when her civilization fell... just like Communism!
aren't the sailors her vassals she considers advice from but overrules if she feels like it? and Endymion is her husband so still definitely a king or prince-consort. utopia is clearly a well run monarchy.

No, that's communism. Just like Joseph Stalin would consider advice from the rest of Russia and overrule it, or the Kims would not bother to do the considering part and overrule it. A single brutal dictator who makes all the important decisions is just the quiet part not normally said aloud about communism.

In the spirit of fairness, I decided to brows r/TheRightCan'tMeme and see what they had up and why they thought right-leaning memes were bad. Note that this contains no cherry-picking, these were literally the first four memes on the top of the page. I think they make a compelling case that the Left not only Can't Meme, they have trouble understanding what a meme even is.

This one they said "Cool, and the problem is?" Further commentary was that Starfire didn't count because she's an alien and no humans have orange skin except Trump, and it must be wrong to cast any person who had irises as Annie. Of course, we also got "But they don't complain when it was a white person replacing an Asian!" because I recall zero complaining about that in Ghost in the Machine.

The only responses they had to this were variants on "Ariel owned slaves?" This rather hilariously proves the memer's point since for most of history that flag was about rebellion and few people associated it with slavery, if anything the strongest association was with the Dukes of Hazzard fighting the corrupt Boss Hogg.

The next one was somebody's tweet they're pretending is a meme. Their complaints were mostly pedantic and that technically the immigrants weren't deported, just moved to another part of the state. Also, the national guard would have given the immigrants food so it was really humanitarian aid.

There seems to be a severe shortage of bad right-leaning memes, as they had to again take some other media and pretend it was a meme, in this case Sinfest. Now out of context of the rest of the comic this is in, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it's basically an arc where a leftist explores MAGA culture and gradually acclimates to it. Lacking even basic awareness, the complainers didn't know this particular page was a movie reference to "They Live" where a character had sunglasses that let him see how things really were. They also couldn't figure out why the guys calling for violence were glowing if you wore the glasses of truth.

Heh. The ear pieces are a nice touch.

What happened to sinfest? Last I saw it had infamously embraced wokeness and radical feminism to a insane degree. Now it's making the point that the most horrible public protesters of the right are actually glowies/Feds?

I haven't looked at sinfest in years but that's a hell of a shift in tone.

Sinfest has gotten extremely based. I think it's just a matter of the left having moved so far to the left Sinfest was left on the new right side, as with so many former leftists. They're still quite in favor of feminism, f'rex, they just aren't fond of women being pushed out of the way in favor of trans. I'll throw a couple examples down in the based franchise thread.

Holy crap!

I'm going through the most recent comics. They are absolutely hilarious. 😂

Biden and the dems as batman villain parodies. The lizard president saying burn all mammals. Saying the Feds are targeting the right.

I'm going to have to go back and start reading it again. I had no idea he was doing this instead of woke crap now.

There's a black guy in Indianapolis who drives "The Chevy Lee".

That SUV is plastered with Confederate symbols. He really likes The Dukes of Hazzard.

Holy cow. Benny Johnson gave a presentation about memes to a university. A leftist student was so triggered at the sight of a Kamala Harris meme he smashed the projector while screaming obscenities and (of course) accusing Benny of being racist for meming. Had to leave out the first post with the full-speed version, can't have more than five tweets embedded.

The left have become anti-memes. Not only can they not meme, they explode violently when exposed to actual memes.

Zyobot

Just a time-traveling robot stranded on Earth.
Usually, I'd laugh after the shock wears off and dismiss the kid kicking the projector as just another far-left lunatic throwing a temper tantrum. But seeing as the lunatics that do pop up either don't get called out or wind up celebrated for their lunacy, the likelihood it'll only embolden more to come out of the woodwork and turn a few into an army kinda' frightens me. Too bad the Right won't be any better, once they finally have enough and take off the gloves for real. :(

Holy shit the actual soy. How weak can you be?
Well granted given how enraged he was, and how little the projector actually moved, the dude did have a pretty anemic kick.

The cherry on top? People are memeing his kick.

The number of people in the thread claiming this was clearly staged and no leftist would resort to violence is pretty staggering though.
