Schwarzenegger was actually one of the better governors california has had in recent history. The man did try to reach across the isle did try to reform the system but the problem is our legislator is terminally brain dead as in it got so bad he had to lock them in until they got a budget passed bad.

however I think we are now officially past the point where reform is possible, california is going to drive strait into a disaster crash and burn and have to be reborn again.

Its going to suck but we have been very stupid and have to learn things the hard way.

What about Moonbeam who's the longest-serving CA Governor with 16 years ? If I recall he left office with high approval ratings.

first go around he was a fuck up, second go around he was in it for the legacy and did an ok job. Unfortuntantly were structurally fucked at this point but he slowed down the decline a little.

In other words: His first 2 terms were mixed due to his campaigning for the Presidency in 1976 & 1980 which pissed off everyone in the Golden State.

No shocker that Moonbeam got his Karma in losing the 1982 CA US Senate contest to then-San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson (R), who went on to win the CA Governor's Mansion in 1990 & winning reelection in 1994.

Moonbeam's political career was revived by lots of luck by winning election as Oakland Mayor in 1998 & 2002, then winning statewide office again in 2006 as CA State Attorney General & finally the Governor's Mansion in 2010 (3rd term) & 2014 (4th term).

I should note Moonbeam went (6-1) in statewide elections overall.

CNN REVEALED that back in 2011 Larry Elder made misogynistic comments on his radio show...

Specifically he said a woman accusing him of sexual harassment was simply too ugly for him to be interested in.

The polls don't really mean anything anymore. These are mostly meant as a way to scare people or, more likely, cover up for the eventual election "fortification".

And Glink, a very good youtuber, just released a video on why L.A. is a shithole. It's part of a series he wants to do on the USA in general and he decided to start by going to the place that houses the media.

I think its very unlikely that Eldar will win the governorship but I do think that there is a solid chance newsome will go.

The man has pissed off a whole hell of a lot of people who now have very personal grevances with him, as in his actions destroyed their livelyhoods and personally made their lives hell. These are things people do not forgive eaisly.

Newsom will likely win reelection in 2022 by a bigger landslide victory because I doubt the CA GOP will try to waste millions.

Fox News reporting VP Harris will be campaigning for CA Governor Gavin Newsom (D) in the closing stretch including President Biden, who'll be campaigning for Newsom as well.

Well, that lowers his chances even more.
