I think Trump probably realized what sort of person Epstein was earlier than others, and was one of the first to kick him out/come out against him, as a consequence.

Though I also think Trump may have only come out against Epstein to protect himself, if there were things Epstein was trying to use as leverage over him.

I guess we'll find out during this trial.
