I prefer the Roman answer. If your crime isn’t severe enough to warrant execution you will be made to pay it off with forced labor. My idea would be the money you earn during that period that isn’t used to provide upkeep, is paid to your victim.
My objection to that is the incentive structure: it incentivizes convicting people for dumb or non-existent crimes to get forced labor.

The idea that prison should reform prisoners rather than punish them does seem to leave undesirable results when it comes to non-violent offenders.
That Maxwell is considered nonviolent is bullshit IMO. She, at the very least helped cause massive amounts of child rape.

I'm quite fine with reforming prisoners, even violent ones, who want to change and haven't gone far past the moral event horizon. Yes, people do bad things, like robbery, assault, etc. These aren't nonviolent things. But we should have a way to try and reform the ones who can and want to, instead of sending them to criminal college.

Compare this to Maxwell, who ruined countless lives. She's one of the worst criminals in the US.

..... so the current system? Again the main difference is rather than give money to companies or the state, it goes to the victim.

Soviet era Kompromat?

Maybe that's what Putin was talking about when he said that Russia hadn't gone full hardcore yet and that all the Western elites would fall.

He has the list and he's gonna release it when the time is right.

He is part of them, and KGB dudes are not better then globohomo when we talk about child abusing. So,nothing would happen.
Or,they were planning that together from the start. And both war and Epstein case are just another stages of their plan.

So was it 'natural causes' or was it natural causes?
Choice quotes:

"in a state where a visual identification could not be made.”

Hoffenberg was the founder of New York debt collection agency Towers Financial Corporation, which in 1993 was revealed to be one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in U.S. history, bilking investors out of nearly half a billion dollars.

Hoffenberg met Jeffrey Epstein in the late 1980s and hired him to help at Towers Financial Corporation. “He was my best friend for years. My closest friend for years … He was my guy, my wingman,” Hoffenberg told CBS News in an interview in 2019.

He died sometime after July 26th, but no one had heard from him since then it seems, and the cops found him dead as part of a welfare check.

So you're guess is as good as mine on how 'natural' this was, and with as much decay as likely happened, it could be a while before we have a cause of death.

Yet Prince Andrew is reviled for obvious reasons. Big question is whether King Charles III will strip his brother of his title?

The big question is why hasn't he had his brother brought up on charges. As long as Prince Andrew does not go to trial. Then the Royal Family cares nothing about actual justice.

Well... It's not really the role of the royal family to bring people up on charges?

He got out of dodge before charges could be pressed. And refuses to come back Stateside.
They can charge him or issue a warrant even without him around, and that's the entire point of an extradition request. I mean, I didn't look that hard but best as I can tell none of those were actually pursued?

Also, I should clarify: Andrew is a piece of garbage, and I would be much happier were he rotting somewhere unpleasant. I'm simply arguing technicalities.

My best guess is certain people in high places trying to stonewall things.

Not being in the country is no obstacle to pressing the charges. There is that little thing called international arrest warrant that USA has been using for decades to bring people who escaped abroad to court. The fact that the creep went home thus has no impact on actions of Justice Department. Anyway the only reason he got fed to the media was to divert attention from the members of US political, financial, entertainment and media elite that were also his customers, but had no charges pressed against them, despite being in country.
