Poor fishes regardless if true.
The PLA would see destroying fisheries in rival's water's as a 'win', if they are not able to poach those fisheries as they do with so many others.

The CCP is the biggest enemy of not just humanity, but also the biome itself, and needs to be ended.

At minimum people need to declare open season on CCP poachers and start removing the ability of CCP members to own land outside their mainland/country.

China did, ironically perhaps, block imports of some Taiwanese goods including most notably, fish.

What drove her to sacrifice her family assets after doing business for so long?

You can still be a corrupt, craven, deceptive, political creature for your entire life but still adhere to some tenets of an ideology or a belief system that make you act somewhat contrary to your own selfish interests sometimes. She's always had a bit of an anti-CCP streak in her while her family profited off of the investments there and accuse President Trump of "Sinophobia" during the outbreak of WuFlu in California's Chinatowns and using evidence of Trump's China policy to back up those allegations when just months prior she was urging him to be more stringent on calling out China's IP theft and currency manipulation.

Weapons you don't use don't matter.

...Again, if the US and Iraq had switched weapons in the Desert Storm, outcome would have been the same. If they switched weapons in 2003., outcome would have been the same.
*Points and laughs.*

Yeah, there's no point even trying to debate a level of self-clown this high.

What drove her to sacrifice her family assets after doing business for so long?
I did some digging on this matter. Her family assets have not been seized, that's speculation on the part of Twitter. China has said they're going to do... something ominous but we have no idea what yet, as all they've said is that there will be some unspecified sanctions. It could be seizing property but it could also be a symbolic slap on the wrist if she's still carrying out their will in other areas.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

Someone like her doing it for a long time I don't believe she's doing it out of the goodness of her own heart.

Great. What will it actually be?

No actual clue. Confiscation is certainly still on the table, I'm just saying we don't know what China's going to do as they've not said so jumping immediately to "They will confiscate her family's holdings" seems premature.

I remember they started cutting off any US China relations.

A short time after the Chinese Military Exercises ended, another US Congressional Delegation apparently visits Taiwan.

Apparently Taiwanese tourists are 'flocking' to Quemoy, one of the islands mere kilometers off the coast of China controlled by Taiwan.

South China Morning Post said:
On nearby Lieyu, known as Little Quemoy and the closest inhabited islet to mainland China, Taiwanese tourists have their own look across the water.

They use a telescope from an old fortress to view a Xiamen billboard that reads “One country two systems, unify China”.

The slogan is intended for Taiwanese onlookers, a reference to the deal Beijing made guaranteeing Hong Kong certain freedoms and a high degree of autonomy ahead of its 1997 handover from British rule.

But the vast majority of Taiwanese have long rejected that model.

During Agence France-Presse’s visit to Quemoy, some tourists chuckled when a guide joked that the slogan in Xiamen could have been changed to “Use of force, unify China” as she struggled to locate the billboard with the telescope.

Anyone else thinking that the Democrats are really planning to just give Taiwan to China, while pretending to be opposed to that?

Taiwan says they will down rogue Chinese drones that fail to heed warnings when violating Taiwanese airspace.

This comes after a flurry of Chinese drones, both military and civilian, have been spotted over the Taiwanese controlled islands close to the Chinese mainland.

With all of China's serious domestic problems namely a freaking water shortage. They should be backing down and not trying to add more problems to their list.

Agreed.

Also, as a side note, it's pretty cool that Taiwan is showing us what a pro-Western version of China can look like, simply on a smaller scale. Similar to the comparison between West vs. East Germany, North vs. South Korea, and Ukraine vs. Russia/Belarus.
