Another interesting "could've-been" we never got to see:

Who else would watch a series based on this? I know I would — and I suspect more EU fans would, too, since the all-new cast having their own adventures and giving us more of a "worm's-eye view" of galactic history wouldn't necessarily contradict or retcon previously established lore surrounding the Prequel characters.

Agreed.

Thanks! (y)

But yeah, too bad they never went through with it. We may not get a full series on it now, but I bet we'd still get some pretty cool fan art out of it, so if I ever start up a DeviantArt account, be on the lookout for me to post a cleaned-up, colored-in "group photo" inspired by that very sketch.

Ask Ahsoka out on a date. And Shoot Rei with my 12 Gauge Pump. What it is a solid plan.:p

Yeah, I'd have posted a "Virgin Rey Vs. Chad Ahsoka" one instead, but the site doesn't like JPEG. Still found a decent meme, though, and while I don't loathe Rey with every fiber of my being, you can probably tell who I favor more. ;)

Yeah I also don't hate Rei but if she came at me with a lightsaber I would use the 12 Gauge to make her a Skywalker per family tradition.:devilish: And Ahsoka I just want to date because of me both liking her and having a thing for Star Wars chicks with head tails.

As someone who had a childhood crush on Ahsoka that carried over to Sabine, I definitely feel you.

Too bad the only times I scored with them was in the fanfics I almost wrote as a kid. 😔

Yeah...Rey could have been written a lot better, but I'd date her anyway. At least she was actually kind of likable (YMMV of course) in spite of being a Mary Sue and not obnoxious like some other current female characters in pop culture...

"Ducks the incoming blaster fire."

Well, I guess the fact she didn’t give men the cold shoulder or start on any feminist tirades is a bonus. Still, kinda’ telling the audience needs to lower their expectations that much these days. :cautious:

A version of Rey that you're dating probably wouldn't be bad. If Rey is dating you it means she's not simping for Kylo Bleh and Finn won't be simping for her meaning they both might actually be given a character

Heck we've seen in the Lego specials of all places that Daisy can portray her to be interesting when the script allows it.

I mean, you can see what became of most of those characters.

A Twi'lek Jedi named Sendak - Likely lost... either that or... see below.

His Togruta apprentice Ashla - This is just early draft Ashoka, same race, sex, and role. Even the name is really close.

A Han Solo-like smuggler named Cad and his mistress Lupé - I have a sneaking suspicion these two got merged with Sendak and became Kanan and Hera.

And a Gungan strongman Lunker - Quite possibly became Zeb in the long run.

Well, yes, I know what became of them. Even though in theory, there's nothing preventing a crew like this from having canonically existed in-universe, given what a big and varied place the Galaxy is.

Rather, I was referring to the actual show pitch staring the actual characters, not just retooled and recycled versions of them who were used for Rebels, which I still find acceptable, if more for the characters than the writing. In other words, a Clone Wars-era starship crew literally made up of Ashla, Sendak, Lunker, Cad, and Lupé in their original incarnations — which again, I'd have liked a series on, though I do consider Cad and Lupé a little redundant.
