This will be ballot relevant for a decade, and the left will win because they have power and the right doesn't. The win in Dobbs won't last. And abortion will become permanent. The right had to slow down on abortion to win long term on abortion and other things. They didn't, and we all will suffer for it.

Basically, politics is downstream of culture, and we're in a Roe culture. The judicial ruling won't lead to a victory long term, and you lost your chance to win the culture as the left has an issue again.

No media will spend time on CRT, socialist crazies, or anything else that shifts the culture if they can talk about abortion rights. The left still controls the media enough that if they can align with normality (pro-Roe is normality. Like it or not), they'll recover.

I hate getting blackpilled, and want to be wrong here, but it's what I see happening.

You said the Left has no issues left to fight the Right about before this, when that simply isn't true.

Did you simply forget the environmental issues, racial issues, and such the Left goes on about aren't changing due to this?

I think you are blackpilled on this because you are worried about how a reversal here could impact the same-sex marriage decision, and because you seem to forget the abortion debate never actually went away for the Left; they used RvW being overturned as a boogieman against conservative justice's for years/decades now.

Worry more about election integrity and ensuring it, than about how this decision could affect the motivations of the Left; after all, if we cannot trust our elections, then political optics don't matter anyway.

I've almost entirely checked out. I'm not even a single issue abortion voter, and this has me feeling hope that we actually can win things.

I think being shown they can actually win something again, will get the right out there.

Well for one thing, I think a lot of cheating occurred, but even if we totally disagree on that, there WAS a glaring, orange colored problem, for the left to rally against.
