President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered his post-press conference remarks with Russian officials in Kazakh instead of Russian for the first time in a meeting between high level officials of both countries.

Putin likely rankled his host by mispronouncing the Kazakh president's name on several occasions in Astana, at one point calling him "Kemel Jomartovich." It was not the first such flub for Putin, who previously has called Tokayev – whose patronymic is Kemeluly (or Russified, Kemelovich) – "Kemel Jomartovich," as well as mangling the Kazakh president's patronymic in a variety of other ways, Tokayev's use of Kazakh may have been his way of offsetting Putin's disses with a diss of his own.

The article seems to imply it could've been done to assert a stronger presence of Kazakhstan in the meeting and generally, but it could also be a bit of a snub due to Putin often flubbing the name of of the President of Kazakhstan and his Russified name.

Heh, so Russian occupiers in the eastern parts of Ukraine have been getting poisoned routinely, and are having a hard time finding safe food or drink.

This is one definite way to make it so Russian numbers work against them; if you poison a lot of mobiks before they get to the front, it's a lot harder for Russia to continue their occupation activities and keep the UA military from liberating it's lands.

The Russians were already raping and killing the Ukrainians. Why would you think they wouldn't retaliate in any way they can? Russian patrols randomly kill civilians depending on their mood and sobriety. It's a coin toss whether the Russians rob, beat, kill or let you go in every encounter. They're there to enact a pogrom against Ukrainians no matter what they claim. It's a Pogrom nothing else.

Right now they have a battalion at best in the actual lodgement, occupying some swampy greyzone under near constant artillery and aerial bombardment. They are not well supplied and cant easily rotate casualties out. Its a pointless meme offensive to make it look like Ukraine is on the attack.

Similar actions are taking place on the Russian-Estonian Border as well with the Russian State supporting the influx of migrants attempting to cross the border.



Finland and Estonia are apparently going to close more border crossings in response.

This is fucking genius, and does anyone seriously think the Russians had to force any of these migrants or that they would bother going through the effort of doing so? They probably just advertised a free trip into the EU to a country where it's easy to crossover into Sweden and Norway.

Look the Russians are just promoting much needed immigration to offset Finlands ageing population, but honestly I'm kind of fucking happy about this. Good on the Russians to prove Orpo's point and spit in the face of the Social Democrats.

Edit: If Orpo uses this well he might be able to finally push through those immigration reforms.
