In this case, I am just tired of the Russians being a rather constant pain in our backside for the last 100 years. Honestly the last time we seriously got along was under the czars.

I want something in exchange for that, the dems want that shit more then we do, so in exchange...I want a ban on social media censoring people on their political beliefs. I want a ban on debanking people as well. I think these are resonable requests.
How about now more Russia Black Sea fleet sunk, Poland going nuclear and becoming a European Texas, Finland and Sweden in NATO, a deterred Russia that is massively weakened for no gain on MOscow's part, and the knowledge that whatever sort term issues the US has now monetarily will be paid back in massive massive amounts of savings on not having to fight a war with Russia directly if Ukraine is forced to cede land now and tries again against NATO in a few years.
Add in the oil shale and off-shore reserves in Ukraine, which is part of why Russia occupied Crimea and the Donbass, and the US will also get a NATO partner that will be able to undercut Russian sales long into the future after the war is over and the new oil fields are established in the Black Sea off Crimea and in the Donbass.
Plus, we get a humiliated Russia and the end of Putin before the war is over; no way he survives the war, I expect the west will end up dealing with Medvedev as an assumptive successor. Prigozhin's mutiny/"March for Justice" showed how weak Russia is internally, while the US is now able to show all of our 20 year old Cold War gear stills works, and it's cheaper to send it to Ukraine to use than to store and then disassemble/scrap/explosively dispose of old gear/munitions.
Now add in Russia aiding Hamas and deciding to play fuck-fuck games with jihadi's again, jihadi's who took US hostages, and the Fuck Around is about to hit the Find Out at supersonic speeds if Tehran and Moscow don't alter course.
Not having access to my life savings because some assholes feelings got hurt is kind of a much more emidate problem for me then any of that. Having a small click of people decide what's exceptable online speech is also a much bigger issue for me then any of that.
These are primal issues for me, if I'm going to lose more of my hard earned money on taxes given to other countries then I want something in return for that. Having my rights at home secured is a fair deal. Giving the dems everything with the cost of nothing?
No fuck that after all of the shit they pulled seriously fuck that I want something in return for this. And I'm not asking for money I'm just asking for all of us to be left alone. This is a reasonable demand for the money that is being taken out of our collective pockets.
Whoever wants this more or less, it's still good foreign policy. It's a very hard political maneuver to play chicken over such, because one wrong move and you end up doing stupid shit for no gain. If you want to hold something hostage for the democrats, they care about many purely virtue signalling political relationship things like whining about LGBT policy in Uganda, pressing them on this shit, nevermind many domestic matters, is much easier.
Ukraine cannot control any of those other issues you want addressed, and it is a mistake to think you can use Ukraine's plight for domestic leverage against your ideological enemies.
Because support for Ukraine is a bipartisan issue for most, and trying to leverage Ukrainian lives for domestic issues only makes the GOP look worse to normies.
If you want your concerns addressed, don't make it a 'support Ukraine in exchange for X' situation, because you will lose and just burn good will in the process.
You truly want your concerns regarding domestic issues addressed, then deal with them as domestic issues, and stop acting like aid to Ukraine is involved at all.

I am not Ukrianian I live in america, I have to live here so yes If I have leverage to get my primal needs met I'm going to use them. Time after time the democrats have never wasted a crisis now its time for us to do the same. Use the leverage while we still have it to secure what is rightfully ours.
