Honestly were in a fog of war situation and we wont know what the fuck is going on until the historians pick over this war 50 years or so after its all done.

It does seem to take time before people can get objective about history.

But as time passes emotions and passions fade.

Like I said earlier were most likely going to have to wait for the war to end and decades to pass to get an objective look at this war.

Dude, this is a complete cop-out to trying to figure out what is going on in something close to real-time, and is the equivalent of just throwing up your hands and going 'fog of war, we cannot really know anything, useless to try, save that for historians' so you don't have to try to sort BS from reality in the current time.

Maybe we won't know every tactical movement on the ground in real time, but sat recon, embedded observers/war reporters, legit national press releases/statements, and soldiers funerals can give rather good indications that are hard to fake or hide these days.

Beloved Russian Patriot, Rebellion Fomentor, and War Criminal Igor Girkin has been arrested for "extremism" by Russian authorities.



In particular the investigation committee want to charge him with "extremism" on the internet. Sad to see based trad Russians engaging in so much online censorship.

Supposedly a former Wagner Employee (and ex Russian MP) named Dmitriy Petrovskiy was the one who 'reported' Girkin to the authorities (which doesn't make sense to me since online extremism seems like it'd be a pretty obvious thing to see in plain sight but whatever).



His arrest was reportedly confirmed by both Girkin's Wife and Girkin's Legal Team.



Also recently arrested. a former Spetsnaz Commander named Vladimir Kvachkov who is reportedly a close Girkin ally for "discrediting the Russian armed forces."



It's unknown why he's being arrested for "discrediting the Russian Armed Forces" when he no longer serves in them and thus... you know... can't be responsible for the lack of credibility displayed by the Russian Armed Forces.

At this point, if we could magic away the nuclear threat, Poland v. Russia would be pretty funny. I reckon 3 days to Moscow, given Wagner just about made it in 2. As you say, dark humour for sure but still.

The other magical related hypothetical that's been floated is Poland or other countries deploying "Peacekeepers" to the Belarusian-Ukrainian border to ensure deconfliction between those two countries. It'll allow Ukrainian troops to deploy elsewhere all in the name of preventing unneeded and undesirable Belarusian-Ukrainian hostilities.
