Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

why are you posting the twatter link instead of the actual article link
TLDR UK Telegraph "investigated" and by that they mean they just print the accounts of several elderly ukrainians who escaped from russia occupied territories.

Most of the complaints amount to "shit medical care in russian hospitals".

They even have one complaint of "I couldn't wash because all the tap water in the hospital was orange colored, clearly contaminated". Yea, contaminated water is hurting everyone. You think the russians in the hospital have magical access to a different set of tap water?

... that is not "war crimes against ukrainians" but an indication of how severely fucked over the war torn area is. As well as possibly the effects of the massive all encompassing embargo

the forced blood donation thing is... a woman working in a ukranian charity whose stated goal is to help ukranians escape russia occupied territory... claimed that she met ONE woman who was forced to give blood.
While the article tries to make it out to be a systematic thing

But the tweet is not the source. it is literally just a link to the source. why are you choosing to add the tweet as an in between.
...it was the Telegraph's twitter account, with the link very much visible in the tweet, and talking about the subject.

Do you actually have something meaningful to say with regards to this, or are you trying to be a petty, pedantic ass about what format the article first came in?

The telegraph is using twitter to ADVERTISE their site.
The tweet is NOT the article, it is an ADVERTISEMENT for the article.
Yes it is an OFFICIAL advertisement.
But there is absolutely ZERO reason to link to the twitter advertisement instead of linking to the actual real article at the actual correct site

And guess what, such ads are ROUTINELY deleted. this means in a few years all we will see is "this tweet is gone" line.
Meanwhile actual news articles get ARCHIVED and can still be found if properly linked

This is not a fucking format, you did not link the article. you linked to a twitter ad for the article instead of linking to it. There is nothing pedantic about it. Tweets are commonly deleted while news articles are commonly archived. in a few years you will need the real link to get to it.

Also I literally SAID stuff about the article itself in a separate post. go back and try reading

...yeah, you're just being a pedantic troll.

...yeah, you're just being a pedantic troll.
It is not pedantry you moron.
Tweets are routinely deleted and news routinely archived.
This site is littered with twitter links that just say "deleted".
Once the tweet is deleted there is no way to find out the original article anymore.

So Russia has also been kidnapping elderly folks as well, to use as blood bags and likely worse medical 'procedures'. Guess when your nation is so heavy with HIV, getting clean blood is a challenge.

Par for course. Animals will be animals. Muscovites have a stereotype for barbarism for a reason. The Golden Horde didn't do a thorough enough job in my opinion.

Did you read the entire article or only the misleading clickbait title?

It is blatant anti russian propaganda. Literally printing a bunch of random verbal accusations.

> Ukrainian woman working in charity to help ukranians escape russia said she once helped one ukranian woman who told her she was forced to give blood
> Ukrainian man said he couldn't even have the dignity of showering in russian hospital because the russians are so racis against ukrainians that they made the tap water contaminated in the entire russian hospital specifically to upset him
> Ukrainian man complains that when he was treated for frostbite, the anesthesia he was given was very outdated soviet era tech

etc
honestly the most believeable ones are
> Ukrainian man said russian hospital charged him 70% of his pension
> Ukrainian man said that russian soldier stole his wheelchair... to immediately give it to his crippled friend who couldn't walk
> Ukrainian man complains russian nurse was rude

Now those actually sound entirely plausible.

Yeah, this is really fucked; "its chief told Belarusian state television that the organisation is actively involved in bringing Ukrainian children from Russian-occupied areas to Belarus".

why are you posting the twatter link instead of the actual article link
hang on a minute... where are the videos?
this article is entirely "unnamed ukrainian woman tolds us that an unnamed ukrainian woman told her that she was forced to donate blood. therefore mass forced blood harvesting is happening"

So... where are the videos? at least show us the interview with the so called unname ukranian woman.

When I go to not the bee, they give me names and videos.
here I am getting some vague rumors.

Where are people posting online videos of what is happening?

Man, watching vatnik's flail about trying to discredit anything that makes Russia look bad is fucking hilarious some times.

First it's 'why did you not link the article', then it's 'none of this is credible, just all hearsay and anti-Russian propaganda', and finally 'well, since I cannot find videos of the interviews, obviously they never happened'.

At least their stupidity provides mild entertainment from time to time.

Watching morons reeing about "vatnik" every time their idiocy is exposed is both sad and pathetic.

You haven't proved shit, you've just cast aspirations on the whole article and trying to imply it's all 'anti-Russian propaganda', because of how monstrous it makes Russia look, on top of all their other atrocities.

In fact, ever since you came out to support Putin's aggression against Ukraine, you haven't proved any damn thing but your own stupidity.

It took weeks to free a group of five disabled men, aged between 20 and 35, and take them back to Ukraine because their passports had been removed when they were sent to Voronezh from Kakhovka.

Two of the men, Oleksander and Bogdan, said staff at the facility they were in had planned to declare them mentally incompetent.

Bogdan walks with crutches and has cerebral palsy, while Oleksander is in a wheelchair with an undiagnosed condition.
Patients at the facility told the charity they were banned from leaving and warned that they would face "severe punishment" if they tried to.

They said they were unable to wash because orange-coloured, contaminated water was running from the taps. "On one side of the building you see the fields, and on the other side, you see the graves," said Ms Isaeva.

Bogdan said his passport was taken under the pretence of "being translated" to Russian, despite it already being written in both Ukrainian and Russian. Russian citizenship was then processed without his permission.

Mr Andreev's toes, severely frostbitten after laying in a stairwell during the shelling in -10C (14F), were left untreated. Only when the pain became too unbearable did a doctor agree to remove them.

But when Mr Andreev was taken back to the facility, he said his bones were left exposed by the botched procedure.
The only treatment he received was zelyonka, an outdated Soviet-era topical antiseptic used to help minor wounds. There was no medication for pain.

Mr Andreev said he was sworn at by staff and humiliated by a nurse, who taunted him when he needed help washing.
His head and face were shaved without his permission, he said, and the staff also took 70 per cent of his pension.

Woman Dies of Gangrene:

Last summer, Helping to Leave was alerted that an elderly woman in then-occupied Hrakove, Kharkiv region, had severe gangrene and was not receiving adequate treatment.

By the time help arrived, she was hallucinating. She died after Russian soldiers allegedly refused to let a driver from the charity transport her to a hospital.

Abduction Followed by Intimidation to either Accept Russian Citizenship or Being Institutionalized:

The woman, who withheld her name, said: "Five armed men with white armbands broke the lock into my house and commanded me to leave. Everything I had – my phone, money, clothes – was all left in the house."

She said she was loaded into a car with no explanation as to where she was being taken.

Russian officials told her she had two options – take Russian citizenship and go to a residential facility, or stay in a nearby train station.

When she resisted, she said she was threatened with "being sent to a psychiatric hospital".

But hussy! You can't say that. It makes it look like the potato was either less mentally competent than a small child, or wilfully lying and misrepresenting things. I'm sure you don't mean to say that @mrttao is a liar, do you?

Honestly were in a fog of war situation and we wont know what the fuck is going on until the historians pick over this war 50 years or so after its all done.
