In December 2021, the primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, expressed hope in an interview with Radio Svoboda that for the next 10 years, most Ukrainians could switch to celebrating Christmas on 25 December:

But tradition is a tradition – it is so ingrained that if we move on, in most cases, I am convinced, the churches of the 25th will be empty and the 7th full.

Also, most countries have official state holiday only for December or January Christmas, not both, and not having the latter doesn't constitute "banning" it.
Basically it means Ukraine will be having Christmas and state holidays for it at the same time most western countries do.

Well no one is going to have 2 separate state holidays, no western country does, do they force it too?

No one forces orthodox churches in the West to celebrate Christmas in the winter. If you want to have a state holiday, fine. That doesn't explain the need to force the churches when to celebrate. It's the thin end of the wedge.

And since when have the globohomo been content with just owning one of something, when they can have it all and control more? Control all the churches in Ukraine, and you leave much less in the way of alternatives when it comes to forcing stuff upon the church via the government.

You really just see 'globohomo' in every action a western power takes, and think everything that happens in the West has to be connected to it somehow, don't you?

All this is doing is removing yet another connection between Ukraine and their former Russian/USSR master, and moving Ukraine's holiday schedule closer to the rest of Europe, instead of when Moscow dictates a holiday should be on.

Lets not forget that the Russians/Moscow have used their power over the Eastern Orthodox Church in Europe to emplace agents inside NATO and other foreign powers, in order to give spies a better, more flexible cover than as embassy staff.

I mean dude was a comedian before going into politics, and basically did what Trump did (if Trump was a Jerry Seinfeld-level comedian) by bypassing the old political corruption with his own populist wave.

Zelensky won his election the same way Trump won in 2016, except he actually was competent at the whole governance thing and didn't have Trump's ego or baggage or saboteurs in his admin.

The only people in the west who seem to dislike Zelensky are those who dislike/hate him for not surrendering to Russia, or being a 'pawn' of the WEF/globohomo/'West" in general, or who buy biased and misleading reporting about his actions from clickbait sources or sources that are openly Russia-aligned/Russia-friendly.
