How much crime does the Federation even have? I mean they’re Post-Scarcity, so probably less need of organized crime
Them being "post scarcity" is just a meme. Earth itself might come close but scarcity and money even. Certainly exists in the UFP(bank of Bolace). They've even got private property and bussiness.(Anheuser Busch is still a thing in TOS). As far as organized crime at the very leastt they've got the "Orion syndicate". A matriarchal slaver society who operates throughout the Alpha quadrant. Including in the UFP there's even an episode of Ds9. Where Chief O'Brien is sent to infiltrate them as an undercover cop basically.

Non-Fanfic Idea: After the “Blasphemous Emperor” is dead, his “New Race of Men” scatter as they are slaughtered en masse by the “Alliance of Order”

Without their “Progenitor-King” they are lost and without purpose and hunted down till the last

They are/were creations of this “Blasphemous Emperor” as a sort of replacement race for all the others and were programmed to commit all sorts of atrocities and murder the “lesser races” into extinction before making the world his horrific idea of “paradise”

And since they do not die with old age or weaken with time, it will take awhile to kill them all off

The conflict is with the “New Men” trying to find a new path in this world

Some wish to be left alone, some wish to resurrect their creator, some wish to destroy all the other races, some wish to become the leader of their race, some wish to live alongside these other races etc

Think of the Orcs without Sauron or Morgoth to command them and possibly having something undone to make them so evil from birth and raising

Would still probably be considered “post scarcity” by today’s standards or those who just think on the meme

Yeah, slaves are a sort of thing sadists want, not about manual labor

Not really the Ferengi both trade in and use slaves for labour. The Cardassians did the same to the Bajorans. While the Romulans have a slave race called the Remens. It's certainly crazy better then now but not "post scarcity". Consider what someone from say 1305A.D. would think about our amount to resources. Pretty good chance they'd believe we're post scarcity which obviously isn't the case. What happened is Gene Roddenberry was a Socialist and began loosing it towards the end. So he had Picard spout nonsense that's heavily disproven in later and previous episodes. Various fans lacthed onto this and spread it around as gospel.

Wow, you know I really believe that it’s ironically the hippies and romanticist types that are the real danger when it comes to Communism taking over

But yeah, wow that’s stupid and a sign of things to come

So as a shipper I have somewhat of a thing for rare pairs.

With regards to say-ASOIAF.

There are a few I’d love to write one shots of.

Jaimie/Melisandre
Arianne/Tommen
Tyrion/Catelyn
Robert/Melisandre

And as for the SW old EU

Anakin/Tenel Ka
Jag/Leia
Han/Mara
Jacen/Wynessa Fel

Among others fandoms these and others.

Basically-the less done a ship is, the more I want to see it done :)

Prompt: A guy who's mute or extremely untalkative needs to pay his rent

He never talks, people can more-or-less just get what he means from him pointing at stuff and shrugging

In order to pay for his rent and his debts to the mob, he either works as a crossdressing maid at a cafe because they noticed he was TRAP-Material or he becomes their HITMAN

Given that he has a talent that involves being really good at any CQC, using pretty much anything as a melee weapon and throwing it with deadly efficiency

All told from a Third Person Perspective or the Perspective of those around the MC who think he's a horrible psycho and plans on killing him ASAP

Part of the third person perspective should be of people who do not think of him as a psycho. After all bars and maid cafes who hire crossdressers are staffed with a pretty open bunch who got probably circumstances of their own and they have more occasions for the main character to actually talk, or simply to listen and point to a simple but effective answer to a love problem or teen drama issue.

To add to the misunderstanding trope however they might try to mislead the obviously aggresive antagonists by either telling tall tales about their coworker -remember the time he/she took those punks outside and beat them into a pulp?- or direct the hitmen to the location of people who would make mincemeat out of them -talk to mister Corleone and ask for his favorite bunny girl, all your questions will be answered (by his fists)-.

Bonus, the crossdressing hitman ended up on the job by sheer accident, he got sent the girly uniform but given the coordinates to the local rival gang by mistake and SOMEHOW he thought the message to go work at the bar was CODE for "murder all these people"

Battletech silliness:

So in Battletech one of the quasi-canon, maybe-just-a-legend-maybe-not, are the Genecaste, escapees from the clans who've genetically modified themselves up one side and down the other, living horrid lives on deathworlds praying the clans don't find them because clanners consider the genecaste an abomination.

How that works isn't clear to me because the legends show Genecaste communicating and travelling which implies they have space capability, which doesn't jive well with them living in caves the way the text describe them but eh, BattleTech amiright?

So the Plot Bunny: At some point a Genecaste group comes across a derelict Star League Jumpship. Combing through it for stuff to loot, one of them comes across an ancient flyer for a Canopian Circus and concludes that Genetic Engineering is alive and well in the Inner Sphere, and their group can be accepted and quit worrying about clanners, with some tweaks to look like the characters in the flyer.

During the deepest Lostech portion of the third succession war the Genecaste makes their move, and the Inner Sphere is invaded by Monstergirls.

A few Avengers/MCU plot bunnies that I'm not sure where to do with.

1) The year is 1993, the Soviet Union has just collapsed, Natasha has decided that she is really quite tired of the bullshit, and Tony Stark (the young CEO of SI, 23 at the time) is in Russia for business. Nat finds out that some Red Room associated individuals want to kidnap him and decides to intervene, banking on him being able to help her disappear and go independent.

Nat prevents his kidnapping and Tony decides that he wants her as his bodyguard. A new identity is created and she becomes, officially, his PA and right hand while in fact she is his primary bodyguard and (in many respects) adviser.

2)
So AU, Pepper gets Snapped away and as a consequence there is no Morgan. Tony throws himself into trying to keep the world going after the Snap and ends up a lot closer to Nat.

Endgame is essentially unchanged except that when Tony Snaps he refuses to leave Nat dead; he wants to do things better. So he does true time travel via the Time Stone and migrates his and Nats memories and souls back to Iron Man 2. I'm thinking as they stare into each others eyes in the boxing ring in Iron Man 2.

Nat kills Vanko before he can ever attack the race. The first big arc is figuring out how to deal with Hydra. Even with the fall of SHIELD, there never was a definitive list of who was Hydra and who was SHIELD and clearing up the infestation isn't as simple as just arresting some people. Even if Fury could be convinced by Nat and Stark about the truth (a non trivial undertaking), there is no way to handle that situation cleanly. Ultimately, what let them get away with it in cannon was that it was done by Captain America and another Avenger; without that kind of public relations firepower (and the leaked files and three crashed helicarriers), that isn't really viable.

Instead, Tony uses Jarvis (after upgrading him to the specs of Endgame Friday) to gather enough evidence to convince Fury of the problem and Nat, Clint, and a handful of other agents that they know aren't HYDRA are used to start quietly removing some of the more critical moles (Grant Ward, for example, gets sent on a mission and dies in the line of duty when Clint snipes him through the head) and preparing.

Loki still shows up on schedule, but Clint isn't mind controlled and Fury calls in Captain Marvel early. Getting the Scepter (and the Mind Stone) is simply far too great a gain to justify attempting to prevent the attack entirely. The plan was to intercept the Tesseract when the Thralls attempted to attack Stark Tower but alas, that failed. As did keeping the Scepter far away from the Helicarrier. It turns out that Loki used his magic to store the Tesseract in a pocket dimension, and is linked to the Scepter, so when the carrier was attacked he just popped back to his base to get his thralls, popped to Stark tower, and got to work.

The invasion happens but thanks to the presence of Marvel along with both Nat and Tony wearing Endgame Iron Man suits and the Iron Legion (along with knowing what is coming and how to close the portal), casualties and damages are much lower than originally.

The Scepter handed over to SHIELD is a fake that Tony created via nanites and broke down into dust once Loki left the planet. Tony has Marvel crush the scepter to extract the Mind Gem and then he implants it in a nano gauntlet that can do basically what the scepter could. Some known HYDRA operatives are captured and mind whammied into sharing all of Hydra's secrets. Between that, Nat & Tony's future knowledge, and Jarvis they clear out a lot of Hydra. Tony also uses the Mind Stone to remove Bucky's programming.

Tony is funding Jane's work and Nat just "happens" to be with her when the Aether is discovered and uses the Aether extractor on her. When Thor shows up, Nat and Tony talk with him before the three of them go visit the Ancient One.

After Thor is convinced that it is a good idea, he returns to Asgard and borrows the Tesseract before Thor, Tony, Nat, and Marvel go and grab the Power Stone. The four of them travel to Nidavellir and work with the dwarves on some forging. Stormbringer is forged for Thor but this time it incorporates the Reality Stone, and one of Stormbringers traits is that it's reality is that only Thor can wield it (it uses the Reality Stone to deny the reality of anyone else being able to wield Stormbringer or destroy the axe). Tony works with the Dwarves to create a new suit of Uru and Vibranium that uses the Power Stone in place of the Arc Reactor. A similar suit is created for Nat using the Mind Stone to allow her to erase her presence from all Minds and subconsciously read the mind of whomever she is fighting so that she knows what they will do before they do it; the suit defends the stone by using it to erase the realization that it is the Mind Stone from everyone but Nat or those that she chooses to allow to know. Captain Marvel gets a replacement suit forged using much the same process that incorporates the Space Stone in a primarily defensive manner (it simply relocates her out of the way of any attack) but also has some offensive abilities (like opening portals for her to strike through); her suit also incorporates a feature so that only she can touch it (it will simply teleport away, to Carol, if anyone else tries to do so).

With their new equipment, they meet up with the Ancient One and the five of them port into Thanos's presence. They quickly kill him before wiping out a great many of his forces (and his more loyal adherents). The End.

Speaking of the MCU, the Pacific Theater of WWII is rarely explored in Marvel comics nowadays. So let's do some brainstorming based on two children of Post-War Japan: Tokusatsu! Super Sentai and Giant Monster movies!

So let's have it that the local HYDRA branch in Japan focused on cybernetics more than bioengineering to produce Super Soldiers. Thousands of Allied prisoners of war, Chinese prisoners, and even Japanese citizens were used as guinea pigs in these experiments, and thousands died. However, as in Kamen Rider, they produce two cybernetic Super Soldiers who can transform into armored forms and were intended to be used against the Allies. However, these two Super Soldiers escaped-Again, much like Kamen Riders-and made their way to Allied territory. They then hooked up with the SSR, who, while suspicious, would work with them. With a few other Nisei, Japanese-Americans, who volunteered for service to escape the Internment Camps, these Masked Riders would fight against the Imperial Japanese's various Super Soldiers.

Of course, that wouldn't be the only weapon Imperial Japan HYDRA tried. They would discover gigantic creatures that dwelt on the ocean seafloor that seemed to feed on radiation-They were like living nuclear reactors that dug into the soil of the ocean floor for nuclear materials. One such creature was discovered in Occupied Manchuria after a tsunami, captured, and was studied by the Japanese's infamous Unit 731. These creatures, twice as big as blue whales and essentially impervious to conventional military weapons, were fitted with cybernetics by Japanese HYDRA to use them as gigantic weapons against the United States Navy. They received the codename of "Fin Fan Foom" from Allied spies.

What else could be done with this in an MCU-ish setting?
