Original Idea: Post Apocalyptic Robotic Mailman

As the title says, it is about a Post Apocalyptic Robotic Mailman, who is robot that’s a mailman in a post apocalyptic setting

He travels the wastes in order to deliver particular items to people who live far away and have homes near or in some really fucking nasty places

As a robot, he has arms that come with clawed hands that get superheated and have palms that fire plasma alongside arms that can extend and no legs

Because he just floats around with antigravity and some thrusters

When a fantasy world doesn't have much luck with summoning heroes from modern day Earth, the gods decide to look to the future for their potential saviors. Unfortunately for them, they made the decision to use the world of Novo Solo as their recruiting grounds, where every battle involves copious war crimes. Especially when Spacers are involved.

One thing is certain - the world will not be the same once the Brigadors are done.

Idea: All Northerners in ASOIAF are Cimmerians

images

A race of swole tan barbarians with rippling muscles and the tendency to throw repeatedly throw increasingly larger rocks at eldritch supernatural monstrosities until they go back to yaoi hentai manga

Aegon The Conqueror is weirded out by all the physically powerful yet strangely intelligent “Northern Barbarians” and nearly gets Balerion killed

He decides that the North is part of the Seven Kingdoms, they just don’t have to pay taxes because in the first place they’re a bunch of barbarians with barely anything to contribute to “civilization” except for a place to send all their non-swole non-tan criminals and peasants and bastards and extra-sons off to feel inferior to said “northern barbarians”

Ned Stark is basically Conan and goes into King’s Landing as Hand of The King while only wearing a loincloth and Ice whilst on the Iron Throne

A Wight!Vicky gets Lich!Amy to cosplay as 2B

Lich!Amy awakens a cosplaying hobby

When the Undersiders arrive to rob the bank, she punished the female Undersiders(Kikimora!Taylor, Kitsune!Lisa and Hellhound!Rachel)by making them do cosplay

Or she gives them literal cancer

The Dominion War: The worst conflict in the history of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, it pushed the Federation and its allies to nearly the breaking point. The Dominion was not just powerful, but also clever and ruthless, using diplomacy to isolate the Federation and deny it allies.

A Federation starship, on a patrol mission, encounters a Dominion starship attacking a mysterious world: One deemed an artificial system the Federation was going to study but the war pulled resources away from it. This system had a single M-class planet... Orbited by a G-type star and a moon, both the same size. A sun and moon the inhabitants used as weapons against the threat. This proves enough for the Federation starship to make first contact...

With Equestria. Ruled by incredibly powerful, equine-like beings with psychic abilities to rival ESPers exposed to the Galactic Barrier. While technologically inferior to the Federation, their mastery of the force they call magic would make them powerful allies.

But the Equestrians, wanting to spread the ideals of friendship and harmony they see reflected in the Federation, send their best ambassadors out with Starfleet to find other allies in this fight. Allies stranger and more amazing than the Federation could have ever imagined...

Basically, it's a Star Trek focused multicross with other IDW comic lines. They would include:
-The Transformers
-He-Man
-GI-JOE
-Thundercats

And others, with a focus on adventure, political intrigue, and crazy fun.

Say, do they look like actual ponies(body structure wise)here?

Also, idea
“Robotic Dark Lord/King-Beyond-The-Wall Who’s Not So Bad”

An insane machine with the Zeroth Law Rebellion that styles himself as an Evil Overlord, is sent by ROB to the Planetos

Sometime after crashlanding, knowing he’s got really limited firepower but some ability to produce needed goods and most of all, part of his desire, SECURITY & PROSPERITY

If the Wildlings surrender their freedom to him, they get to live and work in his newly built underground vaults

Premise involves expanding territory, being seen as an evil overlord who commands a horrific metal army, trying to get Wildlings to come willingly, conflicts that come with restricting freedom due to control freak tendencies, constantly working to feed and care for people etc

Doctor Who idea:

The Doctor's companions are contacted on Christmas eve, one at a time by the image of Santa Claus, who warns them the Doctor is not who she says she is. By the end of the episode it is revealed that the mysterious stranger is the real Doctor who's been locked inside a cell on board the Tardis, the female Doctor is actually the Rani, pretending to be the Doctor while she studies humanity in a attempt to create her own slave humans obedient to her. She switched places with him during the last regeneration, fooling the TARDIS into making her its master.

Only watched one season of Doctor Who but that frankly sounds rather interesting

I would come up with a variation to explain this

Warning: This is, without a doubt, the craziest idea I have ever had. And if you've read my work you know I mean it.

In the manga/anime Urusei Yatsura, an alien race called the Oni appear over Earth and give an ultimatum: One human must catch our Princess Lum in a game of tag. If you win, we leave you alone. Lose, and we conquer you. In Urusei Yatsura, a planetary lottery picks... Ataru Moroboshi. A guy who makes Happosai look restrained. A boy whose mind reads like a serial train groper's diary.

In this universe, the lottery chooses... Harry James Potter of Surrey, Britain.

Now obviously Harry could catch Lum easily with magic. But that would expose the wizarding world. That won't work. Lum can fly without magic, so things seem hopeless...

Until Hermione Granger has an idea, after learning that the Oni cannot detect magic. She reasons that even if Harry tagged Lum, there is no guarantee the Oni or any other aliens will leave Earth alone unless they have a good reason to. So they need to give them one.

They put together a TARDIS mockup with magic, even putting in a stolen time turner for time jumps. They disguise Harry's wand as a sonic screwdriver. And at Harry's request, they help him with mind magic so that his thoughts really appear ancient and terrifying to any mind probes, enough so that for a short time, he will believe....

Harry: "Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically... Run."

They tag Lum and convince the aliens that the long running TV show Doctor Who shows actual events. The mockup TARDIS time travelling does the rest. The Oni do indeed retreat and Earth is saved!

Just two problems:

1, Lum is now engaged to marry Harry and wants to join him on his adventures, and

2, the rest of the galaxy now believes in the Doctor as well and send requests for his help.

Now, Harry and his friends will have to keep this gigantic charade going with help from their friends, the wizarding and muggle worlds, and any aliens willing to lend an appendage. Because if they don't, the Earth is doomed!

Magic would more or less cover the time travel aspects of Dr Who, and depending if there is time travel in UY (although is a Rumiko Takahashi work so not completely sure time travel is unknown) for people it would be enough to sell the lie.

Real Problem would be the space travel, especially if the UY world got reliable enough sensors to know what kind of propulsion method they are seeing. That said the little I know of that series is that Hard Science Fiction is not their forte, even for a comedic anime.

Here's an idea: Let's twist the timeline a bit. When he was six, Ron Weasley's older brother Percy gets sick-So sick they have to take him to St. Mungos. At the same time, there's been a magical explosion and a lot of people have been hurt. Ron gets to follow a Medi-Wizard around as he helps heal people and make them better. And not just better, but also comforts them and talks to them nicely. That same nice Medi-Wizard even helps Percy get better, healing him up.

From this experience, Ron Weasley decides that being a Medi-Wizard, the magic equivalent of a doctor, would be the greatest thing ever. He's still Ron Weasley: Still loves the Chudley Cannons, still loves chess and food, still hates spiders, but he's got a direction in life. And he's seen pain and suffering and danger. He's seen people trying to help the ones hurt and thinks that is the most brilliant thing ever. Becoming a Medi-Wizard means a lot of hard study, but because it's interesting to him Ron can fully engage in it. He'll still struggle a bit with magic not related to medicine but he can put forth the effort if he's got the motivation. And he thinks about things going wrong a lot more because he is genuinely interested in how to heal hurt people.

He's much more mindful of dangers, injuries and what people do to themselves when he arrives at Hogwarts, and his worldview is more focused on this aspect. How does this change the story?

For starters he would put a lot more effort in Potions, maybe the course which is most directed related to his career path, which means a better relationship with Snape out of necessity, that or apply himself into getting him fired. Lockhard idiotic attempt to provide first aid would be answered by him complaining to St Mungos medical board or getting the twins to go all out on his idiotic wel-kept hair. Scabbers would be disposed of, no way he keeps a filthy rat with him if he wants to study medicine.

Ronald Weasley is the victim of JK Rowling's bad writing. He doesn't really change during the whole of Harry Potter. He doesn't get better, or worse, he just stays the same mediocrity he always was. So, giving him a direction or ambition in life to work for is all you really need to do to make him better. Hell, have him want to become a serious Quidditch player: He trains, he works out, he helps on the Quidditch team until he can play, that sort of thing.

You know, I'm a big fan of Larry Niven's Known Space. And so were the producers of the Star Trek: Animated Series. They adapted "The Soft Weapon" into an episode, after all. But it does make me think: What if you tried to fully integrate the Kzin into Star Trek? In fanfiction, it's possible since we don't have the pesky copyright issues to think about.

What it would do to the Enterprise Era is especially interesting. According to Sulu, the Man/Kzin Wars in the Trek verse happened around 200 years before the TOS era. This means that Earth ran into an interstellar war just a few decades out of World War III.

So let's explore this. Let's say that, as in the Known Space novels, the Kzin had had an interstellar empire. One forged originally with slower-than-light vessels over a thousand years. They weren't seen as a large threat by the Vulcans because they lacked the warp drive-Probably because they conquered worlds without warp drive. However, by Earth's late 21st century, the Kzin had obtained the warp drive and were confident enough to try removing their biggest potential rivals: The Vulcans.

By the 2080s to 90s, humanity had almost fully recovered from World War 3 and were quickly expanding out into local space. Alpha Centauri, Tau Ceti, and many other systems soon became Earth colonies. Mars was terraformed, and Venus was underway to becoming habitable. They had unlocked Warp 2, and their fastest ships were nearing Warp 3.

From the Kzinti perspective however, Earth and her colonies seemed ripe for conquest. As a point to launch their invasion of Vulcan, and as a useful slave species. They thought that after a massive world war humanity would be easy to bring to heel and use their worlds as a beachhead from which to conquer Vulcan space.

Of course, it turned into an utter disaster for the Kzin. Humanity may have still been recovering from its last world war and a whole generation had grown up with a dim view of any kind of conflict after it, but when push comes to shove? The reason humanity tries to avoid going to war is because they are so very, very good at it.

At this time, the Vulcans were engaged in a massive escalation with the Andorians-Their cold war was going hot, and they couldn't afford to give humanity much more support than humanitarian during this conflict. So humanity had to largely fend for itself in this war. While the Kzin were limited to Warp 2 speeds, they certainly had a much bigger fleet. The conflict at one point got bad enough that the Earth colonies of Alpha Centauri were conquered and occupied by the Kzin. However, a breakthrough was made at Utopia Planitia. The Warp 3 engine system came online, and a new generation of antimatter reactor systems followed that provided more power not just for engines but for weapons too. The Vulcans may have helped out a bit here and there as well.

New Warp 3 (and later 4) capable Earth fleets soon decimated the Kzinti fleets, and destroyed their war machine. A smaller series of conflicts with the Kzin would have ensued, with Earth winning each time (especially once the Vulcans were able to assist). They drove them back, further and further, until they were at last reduced to only their home system under the Treaty of Sirius. This would have been a few decades before the NX-01 Enterprise's launch, of course.

So, how would Enterprise have looked in this timeline?

An old idea of mine I've brushed off and upgraded:

As it turns out, a significant portion of children who fail to graduate from the Ninja Academy did so deliberately. They got enough skills and jutsus to help their family businesses or go into business themselves. Chakra manipulation helps in many jobs and careers and helps you get a leg up on the competition. Konohagakure allows for this for two reasons:

-One, it boosts the local economy, and,

-Two, it provides Konoha with a large corps of "reservist ninjas".

Konoha would also encourage this in other ways: Offering semi-public seminars and training sessions to improve one's chakra control and to learn non-secret and non-clan specific jutsus. It's a kind of unofficial ninja reserve that can be called up in case of war or natural disaster. They also tend to have children who are stronger in chakra, and thus lead to more and more powerful chakra users in the future. It's an effort that has worked out exceptionally well for the Leaf, both giving them a stronger economy and stronger ninja.

During the Sand/Sound Invasion during the Chuunin Exams, the Ninja Reserves get called up! During the invasion, they helped turn the tide by handling the rank and file ninja. This allowed the more powerful Konoha ninjas to deal with the elite ninjas without being worn down by enemy cannon fodder. They were sneaky, clever, and ruthless, as for the most part the reservists couldn't stand toe to toe in combat with the enemy.

After the invasion, with the manpower shortage, many Reservists are called up onto active duty. Most of them are support personnel and emergency medics, but a fair number of them get chosen (if they have enough potential) for front line duty. Again, mainly in support roles.

A few of them get assigned to the genin teams, and have to go through a crash course in chakra manipulation, control, taijutsu and other skills in order to keep up. For Team Seven, it's someone they're actually very familiar with:

latest

Ayame Ichiraku! She's actually quite good at level one fire and wind jutsus (for use in the kitchen mainly), she can wall walk and roof hop (in order to make deliveries on time-Ninja try to sabotage these deliveries to get the food for free), and she's quite clever (she took out several Sound Ninjas with grease from the fryers with a fire jutsu). She knows the Clone Jutsu and a partial Henge, but she never got the Replacement Jutsu down. She's also got first aid training.

She can at least keep up and handle herself on D-Rank missions, and knows enough to stay out of the way during C-Rank missions. But due to how things are with Konoha, they need to try and train her up to the point she can help improve the skillsets and power levels of other reservist ninja. It should be rather simple.

After all, how many C-Rank missions can Team 7 go on that turn into S-Rank missions?

(Answer: Many).

This idea could have multiple original characters, which naturally would be a challenge. But it would allow the writer to explore things from the civilian side of things: All of these people are from the private sector and could have insights into the non-ninja side of things. It might have many possibilities.
