But in fact they do that, and in a more literal way than western agencies.
The fact that you are not seeing this and several other attempts of theirs to do exactly that shows that either you are willfully blind or Kremlin values the opinion of your demographic so little that it doesn't even bother to send some propaganda your way.
And not just for image:
Nothing new.
Orthodox priests were tool of tsars, then tried fight Lenin, get partially/50%,i think/ killed and barely lived till Hitler attacked and his armies let people pray again.
Then he did the same, and Russia Patriarh blessed commies.Kruszczow tried close them again, but since Brezniew they are keep as agents of KGB.
And that what are they now - still agents of KGB.current Patriarh is even KGB officer.

I am suprised, that you are suprised.Priests opposing Rulers - sorry, you need catholics for that.Orthodox and protestants always were tools of goverment.

Ah yes, Communism has only ever failed due to CIA interference, comrade!

Certainly this excuse is not old, worn out, beaten to death, and a recurring fantasy of tankies around the world!

...Seriously, it's one thing to not want to be involved in Ukraine, it's another thing to fall so hard for Russian propaganda, you're regurgitating socialist shibboleths from sixty years ago.
The reality is some on the Right are so damn gullible and foolish that they will just be kneejerk contrarian about a 'current thing' and only engage at the surface/meme level of it, and never actually pay attention to anything that counters their preferred world views/narratives, because anything that does is 'Leftism' of one type or another.

The Wu Flu and 2020 election also broke a lot of social trust, and the grifters who followed Trump in knew that being 'against Ukraine' because the Dems were 'for Ukraine' would net them lots of clicks and lots of engagements, without needing to be at all credible in their reporting of things.

They convinced a bunch of rubes like Darth to reflexively oppose Ukraine and effectively support Russia, and that anything Russia does to Ukraine is justified in 'the US did it first' based lies/mentality, as evidence by how Darth reacted to his meme being called out.

There is no serious critical thinking skills or self-reflection in that part of the Tard-Right, just assuredness in their own righteousness in opposing the 'Left' in all things; whether said opposition to a given issue is reasonable is not something they put thought into, just kneejerk contrarian actions and rhetoric.

The Left know about this, know how to manipulate it and use it against the Right in the wider culture, and are gleeful people like Darth continue to help make parts of the Right look like the Westboro Baptist Church or wannabe-Crusaders looking for glory in 'combat' against the Left/anyone on the Right not 'pure' enough.

The price in UA lives for this sort of willful ignorance/willful misrepresentation of the situation is the sort of thing that will be looked back on like the pro-German/pro-neutrality crowd before Pearl Harbor, but after the invasion of Poland.

You see Bacle, it's that we are supporting the war that is leading to UA deaths. If we brokered for peace they wouldn't be dying and getting land bought up by evil westward corps..../s

I mean... a lot of things are the CIAs fault.

I'm not sure about whatever specific thing we're referring to here but it being the CIAs fault wouldn't surprise me.
So you think the CIA shot down MH17, and not Igor Girkin's unit?

Sigh...

I was making a comment that I don't trust the CIA in general and wouldn't be surprised if they were involved in anything. I then mentioned I had no idea what the actual issue was.

I was making a joke about the CIA.

But no. I did not remember about a plane getting shot down in 2014.

I apologize for my flippant comment. It's clear you are taking this much more seriously than I am.

The idea that the CIA is some kind of super-powerful world-spanning octopus of an organization... but is at the same time stupid and incompetent.

Well, it makes it's own kind of sense, of whatever central leadership it has is trying to keep tabs on way too much.

I mean they did have the resources and material and funding for trying to assassinate Castro until they officially stopped in the 21st century...
They overthrew governments or helped others with it in 20 countries at least, so it does make sense.
Not to mention, I am pretty sure they were involved in Brazil in 2022...just not on the side of the pro-American candidate, Bolsonaro.
So they are powerful enough to pull a lot of shady stuff like that but they are/were/got high on their own propaganda...either that they are doing for the good of the "world" or that invincible and untouchable or "supercompetent".
