And without the USSR's willingness to soak up millions of losses to blood out Germany the war would have gone different. The USA invaded Europe with far too few divisions because of manpower issues, not material ones. They likely would not have been able to beat a Germany that overran Russia. By no means did the US arm Russia in WW2 out of altruistic reasons.
