First guess is @The Immortal Watch Dog is alluding to the Restrict Act (long advertised as the TikTok ban bill), which would implement a slew of censorious, privacy-killing restrictions on cyberspace as a whole.

Still hasn’t passed yet, fortunately, but Immortal’s right that it’s still on the docket (assuming he was referring to that). In fact, even if it were shot down today, that won’t stop Congress from trying it again in another 10 to 20 years, anyway.

Yeah; neither did I, at first.

Like I said, they’re weirdly permissive about content rules over there. And since everyone else was posting political videos every now and then without getting actioned (including a few mods), I figured that anything that moves and is reasonably non-NSFW is A-okay there. So far, it seems my observations have proven correct.
