You know what they say about comitees. A camel is a horse designed by a comitee.
Bad analogy. the camel is very good at what it does

their legs are designed to walk on sand. they can store food and water in large quantities. can smell water from far away. and can even eat thorny cactuses thanks to their mouth being full of cones made of fingernail material

"Chihuahua is a Wolf, Dog, Rat, Cat designed by committee"?

Yea, this I can agree with.

Oh, that reminds me... the fucking platypus!
the platypus has been regarded as the nearest thing biologists have to a missing link between the earliest reptiles and mammals. It has thick fur and produces milk for its young, yet the females lay eggs and the males produce venom - the only mammals to do so.
IIRC they deliver the venum through their back left foot. where they have a single backwards facing hook that can inject it.
The fact that the animal has five X and five Y chromosomes is "the weirdest thing about a very weird animal," said Ewan Birney, a co-author on the paper, based at the European Bioinformatics Institute, near Cambridge. "In theory it means there are 25 possible sexes, though in practice that doesn't happen."
Also, despite being a mammal, they do not have tits. Instead they have a patch that when licked releases milk across the entire patch. There are a few other mammals who do it. but platypus is in a league of its own for bizzareness

Brings up a fun thought. What happens when they trace the serial number of a rifle and discover it was last located in an Army armory? A place it had sat unused for several years.
I mean.
If it was we can easily tell when pictures are released and if they used full auto.

Yes, yes they are.

The ATF are nuisances that will have to be repeatedly slapped down and reined in by Bruen now, and kept from killing more dogs than PETA.

However, they are not a horde of orcs who engage in homosexual rape as a disciplinary measure, or who threaten nukes anytime someone challenges their self-preceived superiority/victim complex.

The ATF also doesn't kidnapped children en masse to 'disappear' them in the Russian population to deal with demographic issues, or for use as hostages in exchanges.

Meh, as I've said elsewhere, I'd literally just turn the ATF into Federally subsidized dog walkers and either give their kit to the DoD or sell it off.
How much do they actually involve themselves in the regulation of alcohol and tabaco? I know that there are limitations on smoke shops being chains, and you have to have a liquor license which can be revoked, but other than that the ATF seems pretty hands off.

Ruby Ridge and Waco ring a bell?

Also, ATF has routinely been caught trying to use internal rule changes to bypass Congress when it comes to regulations around firearms, often directly in contradiction to Heller and now Bruen.

My point was, they are the Bureau of Alcohol Tabaco and Firearms, but they don't seem to do anything about the first two. They only are seen focusing on the firearms part, which is also the part they have the least constitutional justification for regulating.

Which is why they aren’t likely going to roll over to anything short of a major restructuring and firing. Or their destruction. Also, the ATF are inside my country and several hundred thousand miles close to me then Russia is.
